I don’t like Bill O’Reilly much at all, but these segments between him and Jon were actually really entertaining. I think it’s largely carried by Jon’s charisma and Bill’s willingness to play ball.

Despite believing opposite ideas, Jon and Bill seem like old friends who talk shit to each other but still have dinner together.

The rally was a blast! Music and laughter and hope for the future. Feels like a lifetime ago.

I don't even care about the politics behind this. I just love watching these two argue.

O'Reilly loves to claim that he grew up "working class" because he lived in Levittown, NY and his dad made $35,000.00 a year in the Sixties. My dad is from North Philadelphia, born in 1949, and then my grandparents moved to Levittown, NJ(now Willingboro) in 1960. My grandparents didn't complete high school and didn't get their high school diplomas until the late 1950s. Pop-pop worked for the Department of the Army and my Mom-mom worked in the corporate headquarters of Acme Markets and their combined income was less than $10K a year in the Sixties. O'Reilly was a snotty, rich kid who lived in Levittown, NY. O'Reilly is the dictionary definition of elitist.

Oct of 2021 and I LOVE watching these older Stewart interviews. Some of the content has not aged well, and the rest is just flipped on it's face. Highly entertaining, but somewhat concerning, to say the least. So glad Stewart just came back to TV, he has been missed.

Two favorite moments come right next to each other: @6:00 with Stewart talking about mainstream conservatives trying to ride the "bull" of the religious right and now just running for their lives like everyone else, because that has proved to be so true and relevant today, and O'Reilly just moving right along because he's running from the bulls too 😂 Then after that Jon also has the "big dog, small kennel comment" which I genuinely think ate at O'Reilly a little

This is the talk show host equivalent of Ali and Frazier, with Jon Stewart being Ali. Both are formidable, but Jon Stewart’s retort speed and composure under Bill O’Reilly’s jabs and hook punched is insane.

Don't you love to see people from literally opposite sides having a respectful debate and banter between them? Some of the best things Jon and Bill ever gave us are these "debates" of theirs.

During the day these interviews were almost too tense, given modern day division, it's actually refreshing to see these two engage in jabbing but respectful overall interaction. Phew.

I think the thing that makes these so good is that O’Reilly knows that his “man of the people” aura is a character and not his true self, and since Jon is so clever at pointing out the facade, Bill can’t help but chuckle at some of the truths. The whole segment almost feels like an inside joke

I wish Stewart did more debates the man is a genius. From the subtle, ok’s to the mhmms, plus he actually knows what he’s talking about. It’s perfect

As much as they jab at each other and as different as their political views are, its very nice to see them just joking around whilst debating. Its much more friendly than it is now.

It's a lot of comedy and very little substance, but it's so charming. O'Reilly feels so free and expressive in these segments. Maybe bcos Jon calls out all the political speak that makes up so much of cable TV?
