In this Special opening episode we sit down with 2001 New Zealand captain Karl Te Nana, as he looks back at the 2001 final, where Jonah Lomu simply destroyed the Australian defence.

Whenever a vid os made about lomu or julian savea, why would SA always refer to them with Springbok defense, your statement is getting overrated.

Good banter between Rikki and Karl, but please stop switching to them all the time. Their chat over the rugby would be great. The switches just make for a very jerky viewing experience

@@moes786121 it's a fact he never scored against the Springboks, but the springboks never able to contain Jonah Lomu. He caused all sorts of problems against the boks defence including trampled over multiple players before being brought down, so that there are 3 or 4 guys overlap to score very easy tries. He just didn't score against the Boks, but the Boks never able to shut him down. Just like every other team

@@moes786121because the springboks were more interested in stopping lomu than winning. That’s why they lose so many match against the ABs. They had to bring almost all their back line to stop him forgetting there were 14 other players to stop. This dumb tactic is why the ABs use Lomu as defense magnet against the boks so that others can score very easy try. Cheers
