All you need to play chess is paper! In this video you'll learn how to make the origami Pawn. All the pieces of the origami chess set are made from square sheets of paper with the same size. You can also make a chessboard using my origami Pixels.

Very handy. Good idea for when we go. camping. Origami paper takes up so little space and is lighter to carry than a chess board. Thanks Jo👍

By the time you finish the set it will be time to go back home. 😂 It would be easier to play blind chess. But despite not being convenient to make and play anywhere, if well made using a good paper it would make a nice decorative chess set.

@@sharonsees5035 you will still lost a day or two building the set instead of playing or enjoying other things that you can only enjoy camping. Play blind games, at least you will train your chess response memory and time. Or buy a pocket chess, there are some very small sets.

trying for the random chance that this gets noticed, but how am i supposed to properly sink in the fold at 6:35? it always ends up locking some of the stuff on the unside up so i cant do the steps around 11:00 onward, and cant tuck the excess inside

At 6:35 it doesn't really matter how exactly you arrange the layers, some of them will always get locked. But the fold at 10:25 should be done on a flap that isn't locked (if pick a flap that can't be folded that way, just try on other one). This line is just a reference point for the fold that will really be used (10:44). Note that at 13:13 I'm working on a locked flap and I can't make that first crease, so I just use the previously done part to copy the proper angle

Is it prone to toppling over when there's wind or when you move the chessboard? Btw, I actually tried to design an origami chess set of my own last year, and I made it to the sunken bird base, but I had no idea how to continue developing as I'm a complete beginner 😭
