@@Pipe_JL You are forgetting that Tadej have a Giro under his belt. Also on the other races this year he has done several unnecessary efforts and all of that adds fatigue over time. His face yesterday and today is very telling about his tiredness. He can't wait for rest day this monday.

The true test wil be the stage 15, 19 and 20, you can also gauge after those stages who will reign in this 2024 TDF and i think that's the stages that Jonas have been waiting for, thats his forte long mountain stages.

Today Pogačar minimized Jonas menace saying that Remco is now the one he needs to take care of. So, with this Jonas is sending a message to Pogačar and UAE that they have to remember what has happened last two years and that this is far from over or decided.

Jonas has repeatedly said he has expected to do worse and lose more time than he has. He seems pleasantly suprised and expecting that his form will improve so that he might have a chance to actually compete.

Tadej had a broken wrist, this guy spent months in intensive care with multiple broken broken bones and a collapsed lung. I think he has the right to be happy to only lose seconds to Remco and Tadej. Most people wouldn't even be on the bike for a while after an injury like that, let alone compete in any race.

It wasn't months but yeah his injuries were worse

They still do, But they are either sick or hit the tarmac hard and are not ready. Or young and not ready. This is just not their season.

They didnt last year either, it was all Jonas last year. UAE has had a stronger team for 2 years. Proven by the fact they were 2 and 3 on the podium in 2023. Now they have 4 maybe even 5 potential top 10 gcs.

Plain ignorance dude, a collapsed and punctured lung and 6 weeks to train is about as bad as it can get for a prep to tdf. It does not compare the slightest to pogacars wrist last year. Even a broken back is better, might be more painfull, but it doesnt affect fitness as much. Secondly destroyed lung tissue does not heal to completely to functioning lung tissue, very bad in a sport where Vo2 max is of highest importance, if he actually turns this one around it woul be a comeback of the century, show me anyone who won a tdf in history with a collapsed lung shortly prior.
