The comparison with UK in the 30’s is surprising. UK is at least an island , without direct border with Germany , while Israel is NEXT to Gaza and Hezbolla, enemies with a different grade of military equipment as compared to prewar UK

The only thing that I know firsthand is before I knew about the invasion, I knew and noted how odd that the airbase near me went totally quiet for many hours and now I know they ordered to stand down during the carnage. This I know but the how and who I don't.

Before 7/10 events, I saw a strange Israeli video saying that ChatGPT was helping Shin Bet solving security problems. I thought it was an advanced thing ,but imagine a computer programmer is telling you what you should do it and should not . It is kind of strange too.

Any future point to comment here? Last comment vanished about that i was aware of many hours of an airbase suddenly quiet and later learned that quiet or stand down overlapped the invasion.

One expects the enemy to prepare for war; his probability of attacking is a risk calculation. Here, the risk was perceived to be low. Clausewitz states one can't defend all fronts equally; ergo, focus on high threats over low ones; here, the south was perceived a low threat. Finally, Israel's "Maginot Line" was designed to stop small bands of terrorists, not a Hamas army; an army's what Israel faced on 10/7. Per Rumsfeld, it's the unknown known that gets us. Risk can be managed, never eliminated.

Here is another one. Ariel sharon was assinated. Why do i think that ? He was supposed to die but instead lived in a coma. The anesthesiologist gave him more of a drug due to his big weight with a drug not based upon weight. If it was not evil intent but total incompetence by the doctor, that the doctor was not disiplined nor fired says it was lethal intent in my perspective. This is where I have to disagree. I cannot imagine that any Jewish person with any feeling can purposely let people be slaughtered. I do agree that they did not want to make the first move. If I do agree that that was wrong and they are responsible. But that they specifically wanted people to die for political reasons?! I'm sorry I cannot accept that idea and wrap my head around it.
