Three people dislike this song who are alive but never lived. They never felt the immensity of their spirit alone in a magical landscape that engulfed them entirely. Never heard the infinite song of the Universe. Weep for them, but enjoy the track much more.

Just love how he never sings this song the same twice! Passion and improvisation at it's absolute best.

Though he only sensed it at the time, Paul Revere made his midnight ride so that this masterpiece would come to be.

I am grateful to have known and loved the music of Jonathan since I was a teenager, and to have had a chance to see him play live many times over the years. But it is lonely too, since few people seem to appreciate him, or even know who he is. (I do not know one Jonathan fan personally anymore.) It is sometimes like that in life, isn't it? What made me think of this was the words in this song: Jonathan is driving around thinking about how much he loves Boston and the modern world, and this love is real, but he keeps coming back to an underlying feeling of loneliness, which lingers even when he tries to deny it. Even though his modern world is long gone, along with the kids we were, or maybe partly because of these things, I can relate.

Very well thought out, well said. I'm glad I didn't get into the music racquet if a talent like J.Richman goes largely unnoticed, why would it be any better for little ol' me.

Always liked this one the best. Listening on headphones, late at night. Modern buildings in the middle of nothing . . etc.
