I remember my first solo! Amazing how much different the plane handles without a 200lb CFI next to me. However, I remember my first solo cross country more. The cross country was a culmination of ALL my training instead of just traffic pattern stuff. I remember contacting ATC for flight following, etc. When I started my flight training, you were one of the first channels I found. Watching your videos definitely helped me with my training! Keep doing what you're doing for GA. When I become a CFI, I will point all my students to your channel! Thanks again for all you do!

Congrats Jonathan and @LewDix Aviation. I hope to solo in another week or two. Today I did my first dedicated landing practice, 6 touch and go's and 1 full stop landing. I would have killed for the calm wind day Jonathan had today, but the bright side I got to understand how to deal with the gusty x-wind landings in a Piper warrior. A day you will never forget. Great job man! When I soloed tower changed the runway on me twice, and had to do 2 left 360's for an inbound fast mover. It was really crazy but did it without an issue. Amazing stuff. Good job Jonathan its just the beginning!

Remember my first solo like it was yesterday, B23...3rd aircraft in my initial 16 hrs. of training. PA28, C150 then the B23 for solo...Best feeling in the world!!! Now on to X-country!

I remember my instructor saying I was getting ready to solo. I said I still needed to get used to landing. He said I had been doing it on my own for quite a few landings. I kinda freaked out a bit since I thought he was landing all of those landings and I was just shadowing his movements. Wait? What?!

I remember my first solo. I was so glad to get rid of the flight instructor. He was such a PITA. My words, instead of 'Welcome To The Sky', were a bit harsher. MFer...here I come.
