I just love how it seems like Jonathon is the most talented actor of the entire Cornley Drama Society, he just keeps getting the misfortune of either the set malfunctions or the actors mistakes (or Robert) keeping him from doing much. But then they flip the tables by giving him an entire finale act all to himself, and he kills its. He's honestly one of my favorites alongside Dennis and Max.

I love the on running joke this season that he could never get his moments all for this build where he has everyone’s moment, would really hope especially after this that next season he gets to do more again

It took a few watches but I realised he skips over Rodeo Ricky’s part of the song when performing each character, most likely due to the runaway horse 😂

What I love about the joke isn't that he finally gets to feature and everyone else doesn't. What I do love is that they showed how multi-talented he is and could be genuinely beneficial for more slapstick opportunities, but they've deliberately been avoiding it in place of the one recurring "can't enter/exit" joke.

He left Sandra dancing on her own in the Christmas story in series 1 and now he's alone dancing too XD

Maybe we remember things differently, but IIRC, it wasn't by choice that he left Sandra on her own. ;-)

It's a shame that this is the last scene from the show. They said how the show has been canceled and we won't get a third season. I love this show. They are so good. Loads of hilarious stuff. Even though we won't be getting another season, Mischief Theater did so they'll be doing more stuff in general.

My favorite thing about this, is that even if the rest of the cast _had_ been there, chances are it would've gone wrong anyway! I mean, riding a unicycle? Juggling swords? A magic act?? Since when can anyone in the CPDS pull stuff like that off! Heck, there's an entire separate show based around the fact that they can't do magic x'D

Imagine how much practice 2:12 must have taken - you not only have to juggle on cue but you also have to grab the WRONG BIT of the blade on cue.

Not really his first. "The Pilot" was suppiosed to be the first in the GWS, but the series was rescheduled because of General Election coverage - only the Christmas one (which was to have been the last one in the first series) being shown in its original slot. And of course, he was in the originalk Play that Goes Wrong (Charkes Haversham RIP), Peter Pan (Peter Pan) and Christmas Carol (Jacob Marley)

I feel like this bit was created entirely for Greg to show that he actually is really talented. He gets cucked the entire series, and when he does get a chance to shine, he shows us he can sing, dance, juggle, ride a unicycle, and likely play the piano. All the while doing an ensemble piece by himself.

I used to dislike him (the character) because of Jonathan cheating on Sandra but Greg is great. I just realised how funny and talented he is after rewatching series 1. His part of this episode was so good. I love the joke that Jonathan always gets screwed over but I wish they show more of him if they make series 3

Poor Jonathan, he had to do his performance by himself without the rest of the team to help him even though he deserved this moment. Because since The Goes Wrong Show, Series 2 Jonathan have been ignore a lot and been treated like an outcast.

It's been since the first episode of the goes wrong show. His thing is that he can't get on shot properly, such as in A Trial to Watch where his head appears and then he's pushed out or in Harper's Locket where he keeps getting stuck behind doors. Greg is so amazing. He's a brilliant actor, singer and dancer, AND he can juggle and ride the unicycle. Having to go on stage by yourself in front of the audience as one of the last acts, is very admirable. Not to mention he has to perform it multiple nights in front of a full audience, in time to the music

Which cast member is imagined to be playing each of the roles? Jimmy the Juggler seems like a Max role. Missy the Mime is Sandra or possibly Vanessa. Tony on the Unicycle probably Dennis or maybe Chris Bean (the DiRecTor). Magical Matty seems like a Robert Grove role. Rodeo Ricky is a very Max role too. Jenny the Gymnast seems like an Annie role. Any thoughts?

I got the impression that Magical Mattie was supposed to be a lady. Based on vibes alone, my guess is she would've been Sandra, Jenny the Gymnast would've been Vanessa, and Missy the Mime would've been Annie.

Given that the song only gives him one line and most of the responsibility to perform ends up on the horse I'd assume Ricky was Dennis' role

@@davidnissim589 Yes but assuming that things had gone right, then the entire cast, and the horse would've been part of it and it's safe to assume that each one would've had a brief moment to show off their talent, and Johnathan only did the ones he could actually attempt Alternatively the horse was just for Sandra's radio play and Ricky's role really is just one line, which makes it even more likely it's Dennis' role

This could have been an amazing piece if it included the whole cast (it still was), but Jonathan was left to do it by himself. You can tell the struggle throughout this, but he still did an amazing job. Well done Jonathan. Funny Fails: 00:46: Piano? No? 1:11: Rodeo Ricky 1:20: Splits 4:25: Piano Falls Jonathan Killing Everyone Else's Parts (or sometimes maybe not): 1:50: Juggling 2:19: Mime 2:48: Unicycle 3:29: Magic I love this show its amazing. It became quite fashionable for pseudointellectuals to say stuff like that a few years ago. Though they adamantly deny it for the wrong reasons, it really is quite ironic.

Jonathan is one of the better and more professional actors in the CPDS, but his behaviour in Peter Pan off stage kind of sours you to him. But you notice even in Christmas Carol he's got better and seems very miffed by Chris making fat jokes about Robert.

@@RobinHood3000 I wonder if Peter Pan isn't "canon" (insomuch as there is a canon)? The relationship stuff seems to have been dropped onto the floor, and possibly for the better. I wasn't necessarily fond of knowing about their romantic lives (except, of course, for the very important pending nuptials between Dennis and Vanessa).

@@roguishpaladin I personally think Peter Pan is still cannon as with the way goes wrong show series 2 goes with the bbc bits you lose the bbc is getting fed up with cpds over all the failures that has less impact without Peter Pan goes wrong also you can’t have Christmas carol goes wrong without the disaster that was Peter Pan and in series one of goes wrong show it does mention previous disasters and given one more chance with limited budget

You can tell in the last moment that he was edited out when the piano fell. We don't see signs of his body and his arms disappear before the piano lands on him.

Even though the cast members get annoyed with each other's ego and antics, it's actually funny to watch them turn on Jonathan by giving him minor roles or hiding him, probably as a result over his cheating on Sandra.
