I'd add some standard hooks and "micro" hooks as well as trebles, that way when you lose your jig you aren't sol and you can easily catch little baitfish using the smaller hooks
@773fishing2

I think if you swap out one of those treble hooks and replace it with two or three small hooks, circle hook or a wormhook or something small... That would be ideal. Everything else is awesome

The 50 lb braid would be sooo useful in a pinch. I can't imagine tying up 50 lb to tiny finesse tackle; maybe a tiny bit of leader material would be a good idea too.

Segmenting the spool, widthwise, to layer different types of line like an oreo cookie, would leave the same foot print and give the customer more variety of line to use.

I make my own. Some cheap line, tiny split shot weights, paracord. Use the paracord to build a set a pull snare. Simple to build. Cut a stick. Cut a angle. In ground. Then get a sapling. Tie your rig to it. Bend it over. Cut opposing angle. When fish pulls it sets and pulls it out of water.

I have a fishing survival kit I made and I put a few hooks in it j-hooks, treble, jig heads, medium bobber, barrel swivels, line 100yards mossy green braided line, bullet and split shot, worms ( about 4) that way I can just tear off pieces and still have more if need be and an kite handle to help reel in fish. So it's kinda a hand line fishing survival kit.

Want to have a big upgrade? add a bunch of weighted flies like midges, bluegills and other species always love them, similarly to your pink worm there are weighted fly worms, great to cast with a bobber. I know flies deteriorate over time but when all you have is a weighted hook left you can always bait it up and continue using it.

Movie was "stand by me". I'm a train nerd RULE OF THUMB: don't walk between the rails, but alongside on the edge of the gravel. Shockingly easy to have a train come up behind you...yeah, it actually happens and makes a mess. It shouldn't, but it does and gets called a 'suicide'. That's actually railroad property and a railway detective will give you unending sh*t for trespassing. Trains are lethal and can turn you into mush.

Hey train nerd why did we destroy all our passenger rail and consolidate the remains into Amtrak? Seems hella wack. I know that car companies got a bunch of subsidies and bought out some. I’m not all that into trains but I think it’s crazy how every first world country besides America has more transit rail now than 100 years ago except for us. I’m not trying to be a dick I would honestly just like to know. Back in the day trains were such a big deal and now passenger rail is basically non existent outside of the northeast corridor. Seems crazy. Even freight seems like it’s more commonly on tractor trailers than a train nowadays but thats just my anecdotal observations.

If you are going to be headed to a place alone that even has the slightest chance of getting into a survival situation... carry a telescoping rod or a little 2 piece rod with this kit would be the perfect combo.... All I would add to that box is add a few different soft plastic options, and add a spoon, they take up almost no space and every fish eats them, a classic dare devil or something. other than that I would totally pick up one of these kits!

I been doing survival fishing as a hobby my whole life. I usually try to find bait to use of some kind. I know this be hard to do during the winter months, especially in a state like Maine. In a survival situation, I like to use trot lines in a area that may seem active with fish. I already have a couple of survival fishing kits myself, which are little bit larger. I like to have a assortment of hook sizes, from #10 to #2 at least. I also carry a small telescopic rod and small spinning reel with me.

Pro tip, add a fire starter setup of some sort, and something to boil water in. Like a collapsible metal cup. And a compass wouldn't hurt. Replace the pliers with a good knife and your solid. That spool of line is yuuuuge and a waste of space. You can save SO much space by taking that line and downsizing the spool or wrapping it around another “survival” item. Include a ladder style kit: Use this container to store worms, crickets, beetles, etc. as bait for small fish Use these xxx tiny hooks and the bait we found for tiny bait fish Use these xxxx tiny bait fish on this xxx rig for bigger fish and so on Also include 1 razor blade. Super low profile but very helpful. Maybe some tweezers. Great idea! Keep it goin man!!!!

We watched a either a Lunkers TV or APBassin video and they're doin a lil tour of the Texas warehouse and they show all the lil boxes you have there. Glad to see a dream come to fruition. one more thing that you should add is a small wire so that you can make a line eye. made a line eye and tie your line to the butt of your stick and use it like a short range fly rod with no reel. gives you a little more distance on a cast and also gives you a better feel of bites and better hook sets. but other then that its a nice little kit to take everywhere.

One thing you could add is like pre Rig the jigs with like 12lb line? So you if you don’t need it you can cut it off but keep it on if you do so it’s not straight braid
