I havent been up to date with west indian test cricket but somebody help me, what happened to players like Shai hope, rovman powell, they have declined to play test cricket for franchise cricket?

Had plenty of goes and just never really been consistent, Shai hope averages 25 after 38 tests with only 2 100s. Powell on the other hand has never played test cricket, probably never will and barely plays any red ball cricket and has never done very well hence never being called up, just not good enough as a red ball player

@@joek7277 Oh, just that technique and temperament wise, Hope definitely seems well suited for tests, hope he comes good at some point. It's such a contrast between West Indies' red ball and white ball teams, they are like a title contender in one format, and almost like a minnow in the other..maybe that's the way it is, or they should use some of those white ball players in tests, but again some of those players may have actually opted out of tests.

@@kaalishanmugam5796 yeah would be nice to see them come back. They always have a half decent bowling attack, but none of their batsmen play enough red ball or have the temperament to play red ball. I don’t think they’ll give shai hope another go though unfortunately, he’s 30 now and doesn’t play too much longer format. Shame really as he was supposed to be the next big West Indies test player

Hey bishop, I promise you. I can open the batting for West Indies right now and give you a solid 65 while batting time as well but we all know how hard it is to make the West Indies when you’re Indo-Guyanese.

Whether Ben Stokes or any of the support staff got any regulating mechanism to control and switch the weather conditions as they need. For the last many matches of India , Australia series when opposition plays it is always cloudy and over cast conditions , but when England comes to play it is always bright sunshine 🌞 for entire sessions ! Including yesterday with West Indies. Poor guys , Atkinson has everything he needed to take as many wickets he wants. If it is India there would have been a call for investigation for cloud seeding😆

It wasn’t thrilling at all. It was one-sided, pretty average level Cricket with one of the worst atmosphere’s I’ve ever seen. Lord’s is a terrible venue, it should be kept as the old relic that it is.

West Indies what a sad state of affairs growing up in then 80s they were the kings, the dogs bollocks and now Papua New Guinea could beat them a sorry and state of affairs. Always remember Imran Khan bowling to Viv Richards….wow!!!!
