I cried while watching this. Why? Because it showed me so clearly what it could be like to have a loving, healthy relationship with your mother. Something I have longed for all my life. I can see what a beacon of inspiration, nurturing, wisdom and love this woman is in your life. Dear Jonna, and everyone who has loving parents in your life who truly support and uplift you - please never take for granted what you have - your are blessed. There are so many of us out here struggling every day with the effects of an abusive/neglectful childhood. It hurts more than I could put into words. No one of us gets to choose what family you are born into and if you grow up standing on a foundation of a good, loving family, you are truly blessed. Update: Oh my goodness! I did not expect that type of response. The funny thing is, after I wrote my comment, I went to bed and sometime during the night I suddenly felt that wave of compassion coming towards me in regard to my upbringing and my relationship with my mother. And I was like, "oh, I am probably just imagining this since the topic has been on my mind after watching Jonnas video...or maybe Jonnas has seen my comment and is sending me good vibes..."and then the next morning I woke up and saw that not only had Jonna seen my comment, but there was a whole village of people who could relate exactly to what I was saying...and it made me both sad and comforted me at the same time...sad because it just confirmed what I already knew...that there is truly so many of us who carry that wound of a loveless, cold and painful childhood inside us...and comforted because after seeing all of the wonderful comments on what I said, I knew that we are truly not alone. And, before I continue, let me first say this: I know that many of us are struggling a lot with the wounds that have been inflicted on their soul...only those who have experienced it know what it is like going through life dealing with them...and I NEVER want to downplay the pain of what it means to carry that burden...because it is simply HARD. I know this. BUT I also truly believe that even though we have not felt love during our childhood, it doesn't mean that we are condemned to a loveless, painful life. We can love and be loved. We can heal. And like someone said so beautifully in the comments...I think it starts with ourselves. We need to try and give ourselves the love that we never received, but deserved so much. Give your inner child a hug and tell that child that you love him/her. And I know it isn't easy, because trauma is so deeply burned into us, it gets hard to shake those old patterns sometimes. But we have to fight for ourselves...and just do the best we can every single day. We deserve to live happy lives. We need to believe this, deep in our hearts. Sending much love to all of you out there...

I had to stop watching partway through, for the same exact reason. I hear what you can't put into words, and I felt that deep inexpressible pain. And then I dried my inner tears and made a coffee then came back to finish watching with gratitude that at least some people have been able to experience it and to live up to their full potential and bless the rest of us with their joy and beauty. It is like a miracle one can only imagine! Hugs for you @samakanikalumata5390

Thank you for interviewing her and for her to share her heart with so many people. My mother-in-law‘s parents immigrated from Sweden before she was born. I used to watch Jonna to relax. Now I watch her to motivate me to get things done. But sometimes I would still rationalize my lack of motivation by saying to myself, "Well, she is 35 and I am 65, so of course she has more energy than me." But then I watched this video. Her mom is 68 and still living life at full speed! She is such an inspiration to me! Thank you! Cynthia Sanders. USA

In tears here 🇬🇧. What an amazing lady. What an inspiration. I lost my mum in January 21. So I was moved from the first moments of this video. Then to hear this beautiful lady’s life experience I so wanted to hug her. How I’ve missed a mother’s hugs. Please send her my gratitude at doing this video. I’m extremely shy and introverted, so know how hard it must of been but how grateful to hear of her life story. She could write a book! Mothers and women are so incredible and I am aching to hug her! Sending you so much love and big bear hugs over the sea from England xxx 🙏🏼🤍🥰❤️🤗🤗🇬🇧

When I watched this gift from you and your mother, I cannot help but think of what we have lost. The importance of inter-generational families living and growing together. I love so much when you take us on road trips through northern Sweden. The scenery reminds me so much of northern Ontario, a province in Canada, where I grew up as a child. The woods were our playground too. Your mother is a treasure. She feels like an empath to me. Someone who feels much and senses a lot of the energies around her. A very curious mind as well. A scientific mind I feel. I see some of those qualities in you also, Jonna. Thank you ladies for sharing yourselves and that special bond between mother and daughter lifting each other up ❤️ Some of us fondly remember our mothers today long gone and hear their voices in our hearts. So special Your Mom did an excellent job leaving her comfort zone to talk to us. Thank you. 💕

I wish those were more accessible here. Microdosing was the next thing I planned for my husband. He's 59 & facing many mental health issues, probably CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma for 8 days. Sadly, I had to get a TPO because he's 6'6, over 300 pounds, and displaying violent behavior, always talking about hurting others. He's really aggressive. If anyone out there knows about BPD, is it common to have an obsession with violence?

Thank you! My husband passed away suddenly 29 days ago. It’s like a message from him to keep having fun and to explore. I love games, if life is a game that is a reminder to keep playing. The moment he died, I lost all fear of death and as much as I wouldn’t mind following, there is more here for me to do. That doesn’t lessen my sadness, just reminds me I’m not alone! So thank you both!

Yes! The one photo of her when she was in her 20's...her right arm and hand are blurry....did you notice how much she looked like Isabella Rossellini? And now she is just beautiful as herself. What a lovely and interesting woman.

Thank you to Mrs. Anita for sharing about her life and thoughts. I appreciated her perspective on how challenging it is to raise teenagers. When they hurt, Mom hurts. I’m glad you encouraged her about how good of a job she did and how she shouldn’t regret things you went through.

The idea of living and rising up children is so inspiring to me. I grow up in a dark childhood. A lot of beating from my father and psychological terror from my mother. A reason why I didn’t want to have children for so long. But I am a mom now and I want my child to grow up knowing that I love it, support it and be there for it no matter what. I want to be the parent to it, my parents couldn’t be for me. And this loving words from your mom lifted me up! Thank you from the button of my heart for sharing you vision of life!!!! Much love and light to all the people!!!! 💚☀️

This 'interview' was out of this world. I am an Aquarius, born on the 5th of Feb. I feel your mum with my whole being. What an angel. I don't have my mum. Well, she is alive but, not the motherly type and we do not have any connection. As much as this was painful for me, I am sooo happy that you have this beautiful mother and you have such lovely relationship. Your stories were so sweet. So were your beginnings. Thank you for such a personal video. Big hugs to both of you. With all my love, Maria. ❤

This was amazing Jonna. Your mom is so special and so are you. I have horrible anxiety and when I watch your videos I feel such a calm especially when your mom is on them. I lost my mom to cancer on my daughter's 15th birthday April 13th 2020 and I miss her everyday. I also have horrible anxiety around death and hearing your mom talk about being excited for it, makes me not as worried. And please let your mom know that her English was amazing. I understood everything that she said perfectly. You both are beautiful women, strong women, I'm so proud to be a woman because of women like you!
