@smeagol this was 7 years ago and I was just getting out of Highschool. I want to be a great vocalist one day still but things changed a lot. I’ve met him again and he’s genuinely a great guy to his fans, but he’s hurt people close to him. I’m friends with a lot of his old band mates now and I’ve learned a lot about how substance abuse can alter a person. As of late, I’ve lost respect for him. I’d say he’s only my idol in respects of vocal talent, I hope he takes care of himself and his family. With that said I love a lot of different artist now and see myself more as a role model for others than I would see him as one. Though not an idol of course because I don’t sing professionally yet. Hope I’ve answered your question bro.

Lol, this was in my recommended feed after the interview Jonny had recently with Finn McKenty. I didn’t know anything about the guy until that interview but he sure seems to have matured a lot since the time of this recording. Was a solid interview dealing with mental health and addiction, among other sensitive subjects.

I love DGD too, but i also love jonnys work as a solo artists and the one he did with emarosa. His music just really got me, its not just his voice, his songs are really honest and he writes like a true artist should. i guess i like HIM as an artist, but being a REAL artist also means being real to himself. Idk i guess i appreciate his music so much i have come to appreciate him too, as fan. That type of stuff, thats why i only wish for the best ;)
