75th GaMetal track special: A personal favorite of mine, Dancing Mad from FFVI! After 74 GaMetal tracks, I felt like it was about time to cover my favorite song from my favorite VG soundtrack of all time.
The lyrics in part 1 are a slightly altered translation of the lyrics in the Distant Worlds version.

Lol, I remember the days when people used to argue about who was the best FF villian and always ended when someone said: "Number of destroyed worlds: Sephiroth: 0 Kefka: 1"

People tend to forget that if his goal was JUST to destroy the world, Sephiroth could have easily used easier methods to do so. His plan was more along the lines of transforming himself in to a literal planetary powered god. He also managed to still make himself near unkillable due to the events of advent children, since according to that movie, if even a single Jenova Cell survived the ending, he can return. His anger and hatred is strong enough for him to literally keep his sense of self after death after all. Although the idea that Final Fantasy X could be a far off sequel to VII might change that set up slightly, but the devs never gave enough information in that regard to determine that.

JaitsuStudios true, although in my opinion ff XV looks more like a sequel to it since the ff7, 8, and 10 team are working on it and plus noctus looks like a black haired version of cloud and seem to have his personality

JaitsuStudios Kefka has the son of Hojo beat there too. Remember that he used basically the same method - induce a surge of divine energy, mainline it, and become an actual god - and unlike Seph succeeded at this.

On topic of the music, this should be used if they ever do a 3d remake because holy shit. My ONLY complaint is I kinda wanted more epic lyrics but that would take away from the music itself, so I'm torn. D=

The 2019 remastered version is incredible, but this version will always be my favorite. It has a sort of tone that the newer version doesn't have that I love, and honestly, the singing in this one is better than the 2019. That's just my opinion. They're all great, though!

Final Fantasy is the pinnacle of Final Fantasy. The franchise had to start somewhere. The franchise simply moves with the times, but it all started with the first game. Even denying that would be like saying you were born before your mother.

This song still gives me goose bumps to this day and I'm 30 years old. The first time I got to the end of the game as a kid, and that fast keyboard bit at 1:28 kicked in I was practically breathless at the intensity of it all. The song is so much better when you hear slashing and spells going off in the background lol. This is a great cover, and the amount of work that you put into it is worthy of respect. As a guitar player myself, I've always thought about doing a rendition of this song but never got around to it. Fantastic. Of course the 1:28 transition, and the transition around 6:40 into the final movement and the battle with Kefka are my favorite parts. I get the most nostalgia from those. I am downloading an SNES emulator and am getting set to replay this game as I type this.

Wow... I did NOT expect this. I have to say, this was a pleasant surprise. The pitch you chose was good. Gave the theme a slightly different feeling, but still retaining that intimidating feel. The vocal part was unexpected, but it worked out very nicely. All and all, this was REALLY good. .... But I DO wonder, if this is your 75th song special... what will number 100 be? It'd be VERY hard to top this one. Still, I look forward to that....

Your music is absolutely incredible. Most remixes don't capture the original essence of the music, but yours is spot on. Despite being different, it still has the same exact feel and this song in particular gives me the same, if not stronger, sense of foreboding that I experienced when playing this game.

Brilliantly covered, amazing job as always. You kept your love for this song intact in the quality of this production. The bits with Shadow had me laughing far too loud to be in polite company. Also, you made tears well up in my eyes during the third movement, my favorite of the four stages. Good on you, and I pray this video gets more attention. Take care, bud.

The Black Mages version has always been the best one around, but then this BEAST of a remix came along and used Forsaken on the Black Mages. This is amazing Jonny you outdid yourself with this one!
