Not too forgotten. This series really should have lasted longer. Anne Francis was fantastic as Honey West, but she's fantastic in everything she was cast in. She was even a one-episode member of the Impossible Missions Force, and I really wish she was able to do more.

Beverly Garland also had a short-lived TV starring role as NYPD officer Casey Jones in the 1950s show "Decoy" (it's on KZfaq BTW). If I remember correctly the show ended partially because the producers ran out of money, which is a bummer.

@@thunderbird1921 Showed up on DVDR a couple months back, and I grabbed it. It's a pretty good show. Police Woman a decade early, and it seemed to get away with a lot for the 50s.

I’m surprised it only lasted one season. I used to watch the show with my dad when I was a kid and I could have sworn I’d seen way more than one season’s worth of shows. Whenever I see Anne Francis I always think to myself “hey, there’s Honey West!”

I always thought ABC made two bad mistakes by not giving Honey West and F Troop a chance to catch on it seems they were very popular with young viewers me being one of them I remember always looking forward to watching both shows and was stunned and very disappointed when I found out that after only one season Honey West was canceled and after only two seasons F Troop was also canceled and seeing so many other people feel the same way even after all these years I think we're justified in feeling we were right and ABC was definitely wrong!

I was barely 5 years old when I've watched the show's ABC run. For some reason the show stuck with me. Anne Francis wasn't my first crush (that honor belongs to Barbara Eden), yet for some reason the show haunted me most of my life. I finally got to meet Miss Francis at a sci fi convention years later and she was very pleasent.

I remember,Anne Francis ,I met her when I was a child,1972 I was 12 years old, she had a ocelot cat , that she had in the back patio, connected to her home, she asked me if I would like to see the cat, I said yes, she told me to go in the kitchen and sit at the dining table, she released the cat, and it went right to the refrigerator, and opened the door, and started eating some tapioca pudding, at the time, I had no idea she was a movie star, Very nice lady

Wow! I grew up in the 70s and 80s before cable. Because there were only about 6 channels the local stations filled their air time with reruns of old shows. But they only showed the longer running ones. So I never got to see great shows like this that only lasted 1 season. I finally saw it a few years ago on TV Land and I loved it!

Great review. I'd never heard of this series until about a week ago, when I stumbled across it on the Talking Pictures TV free streaming service "Encore". I've watched the first couple of episodes, and it's pretty enjoyable. Anne Francis is good as a glamorous action heroin, very much in the "Avenges" mould. I'll have to track down the original novels to read.

I was quite young at the time, and the main things I remember were a little sports car and the ocelot. I begged my parents would get a pet ocelot, had to settle for a ginger marble tabby. At least their car with a prominent center grille was white, a white Studebaker Lark VI.

This piece was so formative for me as this was one of the few shows I watched faithfully as a youth. The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. actually angered me because is was too soft and I loved "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." Anne Francis was perfect in the role. Loved the ocelot. I had no idea Gene LeBell was the fight choreographer, having met him and being a big fan of his book "Finishing Holds" but I digress. Gwen Bagni's picture looks so much like Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane it's scary.

The Satan Bug - a " men with hats " style of thriller. Caught it on a dull Saturday afternoon in the 70s on BBC2. Incredibly stylish as I recall, written by Alistair McLean if I remember correctly. The plot is about chemical/germ warfare - I remember a tense scene set in a stadium. Fun movie but not as good as its nearest rival the Andromeda Strain.

In the 60. and 70. there were so many stunny and brave female (females, compainions, villains in TV. But , thanks to the feminist narrative, we most ignore them all. Like all the other important females in reallife history around the world. And why..only because lazy women today want still demand special treatment, even enforced by law.

Well 1 season, pretty obvious. Although Francis was adorable, the show was horrible. Most of those 60s tv shows were pretty campy and almost non sensical. You watch the fight scenes and they’re actual funny. Remember Batman? At least that was portrayed as a spoof.
