I love this method for drawers, so much better than the tedium of a locking rabbet, going to have to try this next time! Always great to see "other" methods of construction.

As a joiner I have made lots of cabinets but here in the uk 🇬🇧 we use a lot of chip board which I think is rubbish I like the way you chaps use plywood which if want you can laminate it both sides and your pocket joints great too we rebate are chip board which when glued and screwed good and strong 💪 nice jig for the draw runners nice job 👍👏👏

Love the video and all your work. You're the gold standard of woodworking professionals. I was wondering when making bottom drawers with the slides in the middle of the inside of the cabinet and middle of the drawer is there danger that the drawer slide will scrap the bottom of the cabinet? If you can answer this question or if someone else would like to answer that would be great.

Jon like the way you do the cabinets. What's the difference between high end kitchens and budget kitchens, besides the bench tops. I am about to start building a new kitchen in our house copying the measurements of the existing cabinets. We will then sell and build our new home. I would like to use the practice, to build all the cabinets of the new home.

I think using pocket hole screws for the face frame is perfectly acceptable because there little stress on the face frame and it eliminates complexity. I do like using dominoes or dowels (Jon uses bisquits which is good as well I just don't have a bisquit joiner). If you use dominoes, you can eliminate the screws altogether. I like that Garnica HDF, unfortunately, its not sold in very many places, at least the last time I checked a year ago.

Great video. I’ve got a question regarding the front panel that connects to the facade. How do you screw it on? Does the handle screws really keep that drawer front panel together? My kitchen guy put a bunch of little double stick tape on the front to hold it together. He said it’s the handle screws that keep them held together. I think he’s full of crap and is trying to screw us. What say you guys? Do you have a video on this question? Thanks 🙏🏽

So, OK I fast forwarded to the drawer slide fitting. A stick is used to set placement of the runners; alright - but just how and why does the drawer side fitting need to be in the centre of the drawer side? How does it relate to the stick length? Did I miss that bit?

Awesome video, this answered so many questions. I'm still having a problem though with the slide not sliding easily. It's as if the opening is too narrow, but if I open it up by even 1/32" though, then it's too wide and the slide pops out on one side or the other. What am I doing wrong here?
