Nice to watch what you've filmed, but unfortunately, the image you portray of Canggu is very idealized. Canggu is so crowded and noisy that it's difficult to live comfortably there. Traffic jams and the smell of scooter exhaust are everywhere. I spent a week there and was so tired that I moved to Uluwatu - now I finally feel like I'm on vacation. Clean air, no traffic jams, and the most beautiful beaches. Highly recommend.

But yeah I haven't been to Lombok yet, just Gilis. I'll go next summer to try it out! Yeah $150 monthly for a gym is INSANE? In the U.S.A. I have a membership for less than $30 per month and that includes a hot sauna room! This young kid really hasn't learned much and has NO IDEA how to live frugally! Spend too much money and eats outside way too much. I've lived in the Philippines for 9 years but looking for a new place...probably BALI but NO WAY near the main city center of Denspar! Living on the north side would be much cheaper.

$1000 per month is overkill. You can rent a beautiful villa and get some housemates, that way you can split the rent. Cook for yourself if you can, or be the chef of the house and get a side job as the cook. Totally unrelated note, Bali really needs to fix the roads and access. The traffic is unbearable and it really is a huge turn off. It's not surprising since Bali is in Indonesia, and Indonesians are not known to care much about these things. You also need to know good doctors just in case. Human resources are notoriously bad there. Aside from hospitality, they're not known to be good at anything else. All in all, it's a paradise. You just need to know what you're doing and don't be ignorant.

Im not sure how you calculate your food expenses? If you eat in nice restaurants you spend at least 20$ usd per meal. Three meals cost you a least 50$ usd per day. 450$ you spend if you eat just in local Warungs or sometimes cook at home.

Thank you! What I showed in the video is a guesthouse, booked privately, not on any apps/websites. That's how you get a good price. If you want to find affordable private villas, you need to contact the villa owners directly or look from Facebook😊

Dude, with your income, body and looks, and a lover of surfing why aren't you in Maui? In Hawaii everyone speaks English, the wave are bigger and when there is no surf you go windsurfing/kiteboarding. If I was making close to $5000 a month like you that is where I would be! People like them come from richer economy and keep comparing the price to their home country. They come to Bali because it's more value for money compared in their country, they will never understand the local true pricing. The places he go to are of course tourist price trap places. Good for Indonesian economy.

Yep the so called like minded digital nomads are if you are ask me kind of braindead. Copy from another because it's to difficult to come up with something original. Same as they all start to complain it's getting expensive, if they did some research or even looked at locals and their spendings they might have learned that families of 5 and more don't even spend 1k in 2-3 months because they simply don't earn that much. So stop fucking up foreign countries if you want to live and spend like you did back home, stay home. If not adapt to the way of life where you are
