For over a decade, Little Flower Parish and the Blackfeet people have been inviting youth and young adults to Browning, MT - the heart of the Blackfeet Reservation - for a week of cultural exchange, service, and learning. Grounded in the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, we call this week Justice Outreach Project.

I lived in Montana from 1976-1982. Spent a great deal of time with the Blackfeet people. Some of the friendliest and also toughest people I ever met.

Would probably be alot funner for kids there. If they had a town bmx track. Which wouldn't be very expensive to build. Just pile up some dirt & make a track. A skate park would cost more but could be built cheap with metal ramps. My little Illinois hick town has a skatepark, with metal ramps so it wasn't crazy expensive. If they have some mountain access. They could make skiing, snowboarding & mountain bike trails. Sledding 🛷 for kids would be cheap fun. Just need a cheap plastic sled or could build a wooden sled. Any nearby water for 🛶 canoeing in summer. Or ice skating rink in winter, would be cheap to build. These could give kids more to do. Plus maybe attract tourists. They could have bike,canoe,skate,ski,snowboard,sled,etc.. & gear rental. Maybe the town could let local children use the bikes,skates,etc...& gear for free that can't afford it. Horseback rental & riding for tourists. Snowmobiling? Just some ideas, if tourists started showing up. They'd want some places to eat, which could give opportunity for food truck or restaurant business.

The original $5 indians were the black freedman, former slaves of the 5 civilized tribes. African Americans are not indigenous to this continent.
