Agree there and with cars. I dont get why the met arent taking action on these cases now. I while back i reported a car who was speedung and overtook me then another car on a sideroad with inches close to the curb on the right. Police took action on that. Surely theyd take action on stuff like this especially the stupid queue jumping merc in the beginning

They should fit this corner with the same spike strips they have in carparks to prevent people leaving through the enterance to avoid paying on leaving. I think if they tore their tires up they'd think twice in future.

Well, there's a risk of an accident and injury if that were done. A better solution would be a well positioned CCTV camera on a pole, filming the people ignoring the keep left sign, which would include motorbikes and scooters.

As a motorcyclist it would be nothing less than a horrifying event to be hit by a vehiclle going the wrong way. Not to mention totally avoidable. I believe you should report the motorcyclists going the wrong way as any other vehicle user. By the way every bike since 2015 has had to by law have ABS so feel free to stop them too. They wont crash

I understand why you don't stop motorcyclists, but that one after the van driver gave some lip very nearly stopped himself against that poor woman (in the black) crossing. You at least should report them - she'd have been seriously hurt at that speed.

The cars reported are no longer prosecuted... so bike won't be either. Mikey can physically block a car or van while causing the driver no harm.., same can't be said about bikes.

@Zipcc, humbly, I’m not sure you are right that driving on the “wrong side of the road” being illegal. If you are driving down a 2 way road and the driver in front of you stops, you are perfectly allowed to move into the “wrong” lane to overtake them, so long as you do so safely and return to your own lane afterwards. In the same way, Mikey will often overtake cars on the right when he is catching phone users. The fact that you can drive on the “wrong” side of the road at times is exactly why this keep left sign exists at Gandolf corner: to indicate that this is an unsafe (and previously illegal) place to cross to the wrong side. If it were not allowed anywhere, then these signs would not be needed!

The Police don't prosecute cars at this corner anymore... so why should he report bikes? Nothjng will happen other than the Police getting fed up. He stops cars and cans to send them back. Motorbikes get through quicker and have no reverse so Mikey would be increasing risk to himself and otgers and causing long delays if he made them paddle it backwards.

@@johnw2758 it's not an excuse, it's a reason. He knows there is a risk a car will run him over and accepts that. The risk of a rider falling off while trying to avoid him is one he does not accept. As it states at the end of the video, he doesn't bother reporting anyone anymore - hence, he doesn't report the bikes. I do worry that people who don't understand this are allowed to vote.

Looks like some of the Motorbike riders weren't even turning right at the junction they were just driving on the wrong side of the road to avoid the traffic, and how far down the road can you now drive on the wrong side of the road for it not to be an offence, I've seen some of your vids where the driver has driven at least 200yds on the wrong side of the road to get to the keep left sign, when you stop them.

The varied reactions shows how many very bad drivers there are on the roads. Everybody without fail should applaud you for highlighting this very dangerous maneuver. Many pedestrians would not bother looking right before crossing and probably would not hear an electric car before it hit them!! Why the police fail to prosecute this is beyond me. 😡😡

Where's this decriminalisation of left turns come from? Can anyone cite a source for this, it doesn't make sense and it's still showing as an "order sign" in the highway code.

I think it's more a procedural thing between the authorities rather than an actual legalisation of it. I'd bet if that van did that in front of a police car, they'd stand a good chance of being pulled and done.

Decriminalisation doesn't affect its legal status, only the penalties that are applied for breaking that law.

@@JohnnyMotel99, naah, camera might reduce it, but speed cameras, red X cameras, box junction cameras, the all get plenty of customers lol. Queuing at road works M4 the other night, I watched a Red X camera get about 40-50 peeps in the space of about 30 mins, all in batches with those just behind managing to avoid the fine by braking and pulling in, for the next batch to get caught… 😂😂😂

As user-pm1w3cp4t wrote, it remains illegal (it is an offence not to obey this sign, under the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016). Decriminalisation simply means that people breaking that law now have civil penalties under civil enforcement, rather than criminal penalties. But, many of the comments for this video show that the misunderstanding of what the word decriminalised means, is decidedly common.

Do they still have the signs for 'No Trade Vehicles' on the entrances to the park or have they 'de-criminalised' that as well? There seems to be a high number of these 'Trade Vehicles' in the queue, including YA67MKE & YO19BWC. If the Royal Parks wanted to make an extra few bob they could implement an ANPR camera to rake in the money on fines.

@@BedsitBob you mean the drivers that use the extra lanes at traffic lights correctly, rather than the ones that jam up the roads by queuing in a single lane when there are two or three? Do you also feel aggrieved by the drivers who correctly use the second lane on roundabout exits and then merge back to lane 1? As a driver, you don't penalise other drivers for their mistakes by hanging them out to dry, which continues to cause a danger to other road users. If you are the kind of driver that thinks it is appropriate to punish other drivers mistakes by refusing to let them merge, or punishes their good use of multiple lanes by refusing to let them merge, try to understand that makes you a terrible, and dangerous driver. Book a few refresher lessons with an instructor, because your comment suggests you need them.

The Istoria wood floors stopped promptly to avoid hitting you Mikey. Some drivers might not be able to stop promptly and might crash with you and at least injure you. Even if a driver who crash with you get life imprisonment sentence, you might get severe disability or even losing you life. It is your choice and belief to stop lawbreaker drivers and I am sure you are prepared to scarify yourself for such kind of actions.

It was decriminalised. Still illegal, but now any breach is handled with civil law and civil penalties rather than criminal. Resource constraints mean the police will tend towards focusing on criminal driving infractions rather than civil infractions.

The law does not now say that it is fine to ignore that road sign, decriminalised DOES NOT mean legalised! The only thing that has changed is that the offence of ignoring that sign is now handled with civil penalties rather than criminal penalties. It remains just as illegal today as it was before decriminalisation.

I don’t know the area but it looks to me like there is space to have a lane filtered for right turners and still have a crossing island (?) for pedestrians. It would allow less congestion.

I hope you're also reporting the company vehicles directly to the company - if they were my employees I would certainly want to know how they operate company vehicles (assets) in the course of executing their duties. All the "get-a-life's" IMO anyone who says that to someone just for standing up for something needs to take a look at their own life and reason why they felt the need to say it. I hope you're at least reporting the mopeds/motorcycles contravening keep left arrows...

One thing you can’t measure is, I bet Mikey is know by some of the regulars down this road who will not cut in as they are worried they will get a Mikey Masterclass on the Highway Code! Not sure putting yourself at risk like that is worth it. They’ve already shown themselves to be an idiot by ignoring the sign, yet you leap out into the road in front of them. And there’s no punishment to show for it. Stay safe.

You wonder who will lose their life just looking left as instructed at this junction so someone can save a few seconds. Neither the police or the council care and enforcing the law is left to volunteers who then face abuse for it. A sad world especially when people get in to cars with little care for any life outside of it.

What on Earth is the matter with these drivers. I sit in the A406 traffic for extended periods to get to work and home. But I would never feel the need to cut corners where lives can be put at risk to save a few minutes. Owning a car nowadays comes with the understanding that you will be sitting in long queues. If you don’t like it, then get public transport or a two wheel option.

Wow, firstly from the Transit truck driver, what a fool, and secondly from The Istoria Wood flooring driver another tool, and he floored (no pun intended) that to make the junction...LOOK LEFT it says to pedestrians, LOOK LEFT, and then a tool comes flying in from the right, That Istoria Wood flooring Jordan Andrews LTD of Crouch End and Farringdon need to have a word with this employee, not a good look, not good what so ever
