Welcome to the fear-stoked world of the radical right. Bogeymen everywhere you turn. The repugnican party has learned to manufacture and package outrage to a class of consumers who crave it. I honestly believe the entire enterprise of modern right wing politics is based on an addiction to outrage. They get an endorphin rush off of it and can't stop coming back for more. Some people need enemies (doesn't matter if they are real or imagined) to stoke their adrenaline addiction.

They are Right Wing Authoritarian personalities. Drumpf supporters and almost all Evangelicals and Christian Fundamentalists. They always have been. They want and need a boot on their neck, but they want that boot on everyone's neck. Part of it is just a desire to have a Leader that appears strong, and has easy answers to complex problems. Many people are susceptible to that impulse when they are scared. This is why Hungary, Russia, Brazil, Turkey, etc., have become Right Wing Authoritarian governments. And yes, there are many people in the U.S. that think that same way. They proclaim to know the Bible and the Constitution. The truth is they do not read or understand either. The whole world has some population of these idiots. We can not let them destroy our Democratic Republic.

While this hack continues to produce the exact same, high budget, low talent clips, keep in mind that the idiots he cherry picks are Americans just like you. They might not agree with you about everything, but they're still your neighbors and your brothers and sisters. Keep in mind that we're all on this boat together and we should all want the same thing: a safe journey, no matter who the captain is. Some of them are idiots, yes. But the 4 people he hand selects footage of to show you do not represent anyone but themselves. They aren't the face of the right, they're just a couple of faces. This man is helping to divide our country and that's what's scary.

As brilliant and hilarious as Jordan is, the more this goes on and the more absurd it gets the more I struggle to laugh at it. He turns everything they are saying right back on them so blatantly and they still don't get it. The depression of what's going on often overpowers the comedy for me. The last several years have felt like I'm getting bombarded by clusterfucks on all sides.

Not to take her too seriously, but I also want to push back on the idea she tried to express - that Democrats don’t support families. In truth, Democrats are the only party that cares about families. Against vigorous opposition from conservative colleagues, the Democratic Party is working to provide parents with living wages, to provide better healthcare options and daycare options, better schools, and a cleaner, sustainable environment for the future of our children. I myself am a stay-at-home mother of four. Every educated mother I know is a liberal.

Jordan, in the past few years since Jon left The Daily Show has continually risen and risen in my eyes as the best correspondent that the Daily Show has almost ever had. His deadpan humor and wit reminds me of Steven Colbert, but even a bit better -- in terms of deadpan. Colbert is, at heart, a joyful person who can't always contain that exuberance. Jordan, as a fellow Millennial, is dead on the inside in a way I understand and mirror.

As a general rule, most Hungarians couldn't even tell you if in their house or on their street any non-Hungarians have ever lived. Fidesz only used a megaphone for something that was already there.
