I just got done playing in them for the first time. I'm 6'4, 210. I felt a huge upgrade from the 1 and 2. The traction was surprisingly great. The fit felt good on me, and I am flat footed. In my opinion the shoes best feature was the lateral stability and cushion, but I can see these bottoming out after a good month of regular play if you play 2-4 times a week.

I always love watching your videos even if they're about sneaker models I'm not particularly interested in, I always end up learning more about sneakers and sports. Been a Dragonball fan since I was a toddler. I've grown more fond of the original story and series over time too! Recently, I've been binge-watching Monster (2009). I should have watched this animé a long time ago. Definitely recommend this mystery/psychological story if you can stand a slower and more thorough pace.

Which is why their market share is dropping. Other brands are both cheaper and more interesting to look at, while maintaining quality (which was always the reason people kept coming back to nike)

ZoomX is the best midsole foam I’ve ever had. outta roughly 68 pairs of sneakers, my Invincible 3s are the most comfortable shoe I own. waitin on the Jordan 39s to drop w that full length Zoom Air and Zoom X midsole🤤

I grew up with Dragonball too but what probably got me hooked was the Gundam shows like Wing ang G. If you haven't yet check out Dungeon Meshi & Dead Mount Death Play as well as Kaiju No. 8 they're so good.

the best Anime people should check: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood(arguably the best ever created), Erased(murder mystery), The promised Neverland (horror) , JoJos bizarre adventure (action,fantasy), One punch Man(hilarious but great themes), Mob Psycho 100( great show for kids IMO, great themes about growing up) , Dr. Stone (best for kids, scientific, very educational, great themes, Great show for kids to get interested in science)

My introduction into anime was Pokemon on Kids WB and Digimon on FOX Kids. I HIGHLY recommend watching One Piece if you've never seen it. I was skeptical too about watching it cause it's over 1000+ episodes, but after a few episodes, you'll understand how it's one of the greatest - if not THE greatest - anime of all time.

Idk why but I always wanted Trunks’ jacket when I was a kid. Cowboy Bebop and Yu Yu Hakusho are the goats for me. Cowboy Bebop is a great entry point because it’s relatively short and so stylish that it holds up really well. Spike is my favorite character of all time.

Pokemon was my introduction to anime when I was a kid. Now some of my favorite anime are: Spy x Family, Kaguya-Sama Love is War, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Bocchi the Rock, Konosuba, My Dress-Up Darling just to name a few. I highly recommend all those, especially Frieren and Spy x Family, some good lessons to be learned from those as well and Frieren just puts a lot of things into perspective (that’s all I’m gonna say to not spoil anything 😂).

Jordan 38 with zoom stroble and cushlon is the best. My gateway animes have been Voltron, Sailor Moon, and dragon Ball. I grew up in those shows specifically

Tried a new brand called straye. Vans looking shoe but they are comfortable as hell. Their acid drop insole is confortable and shoe is decent. As u really get into shoe tech you should look to see if they are worth mentioning in a future video. Worth a investigation at least

Curious to see how the Luka 3 performs. It’s so funny you brought it up but i was literally thinking what ever happened to formula23 lol. As for the question of the day, I’;m not the biggest anime person…I watch them sporadically but my all time fav is SLAM DUNK…..and I’m a Naruto fan. I just love both series! Im’ patiently waiting for them to release “The First Slam Dunk” movie in the states….watched it twice in theaters. One was in original sub….and the other time was dub, because I know two people in it. 😊🏀

Also the React Elevation ones were super comfy ... would have loved if they go on with these in a mid cut. The Luka 1s and 2s have been solid. Traction is great but the rest is mid.

Sailor Moon was my gateway into anime, then Toonami happened on Cartoon Network and I was hooked. I still remember it was the talk of school when Goku finally turned super sayian.

I like the Luka line with Jordan. However I bought the Luka 2 Galaxy colorway and ended up returning them. A little too technical and big for an everyday casual sneaker. Def built for performance.

If u wanna look good on court, wear jordan/nike bball shoes. If u play well on court and a wants a better performance kicks, better use LiNing or 361°.

Like most 35-40 year olds in the US Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon were my anime intros. Closely followed by Voltron, the movie’s Akira and Ghost in the shell and a few years later Cowboy Bebop. May sound weird but I never watched Yu yu hakusho in the 90’s, anyway I’m going down the rabbit whole… Oh oh and Fox started bringing out anime shows after their initial Marvel and Power Rangers boom like Escaflowne, super underrated and dope show.

I have a holy trinity of anime: Slam Dunk (the best basketball manga/anime of all time imo), Dragon Ball (since Kid Goku to the end of Z, Super is good but not great to me) and Saint Seiya, in that order (well, the first two are tied at the top). My favorite characters, in Dragon Ball is Piccolo Jr., in Slam Dunk is Hisashi Mitsui and in Saint Seiya is Ikki of Phoenix.

Did he though? Od did he just switched because of the launch date and he needed to advertise 1s and 2s still to sell them out ;) before the release of the 3s. Honestly I think they could have had more time between 2 and 3. It happened so quick and there will be so many colorways and I completely agree that it looks just cheaper wich is really sad.

1: The colorway looks like Luka is deciding whether to demand a trade to the suns or the hornets. 2: I remember the translucent pods the sole of the Garnett 1s being sticky to the touch. 3: Q.O.T.D. answer: Either Robotech or Voltron, can't remember which I started watching first. I like the design of these. The predominantly white colorway looks much better in my opinion. These loud color combinations have been popular as release colorways for years now. I hate it. Otherwise, these are a pickup for me.

I may just probably be the biggest Luka fan in the whole world. I have the Luka 1s and Luka 2s but even I said that the Luka 3s look like crap. I think even Luka doesn't like them because after unveiling them during the Playoffs, he started rocking Luka 1s again. But might still buy them just to show support to Luka. Anyway, I like a lot of Studio Ghibli films. And for TV shows, my pick would have to be Slam Dunk. Can't believe you didn't mention that show, Nightwing!

I don't know why they're green. The ones available on the Nike website right now are white and they look much much better. The Luka 1's are the best looking so far and were more comfortable than the 2's. The Luka 2's are bulky, but there is one or 2 colorways I liked. Looks like there are 4 colorways of the 3's coming.

"it looks like a kids shoe" is how I feel about so many models these days. I think you're right it's the colorways, but also the cheap plastic feeling of a lot of materials just gives me "kid toy" vibes.

I was never a big fan of the "Luka" line (0-3), but my favorite DB characters is Goku/Vegeta, but more specifically their SS4 transformation from the GT series.

QOTD: No clue, but you go, Chris and son. I'm with you 100% that these look like kids' shoes, in general and especially in this colorway. Cool traction setup, otherwise it's a boring model and I find it hard to justify the price tag. They look like Jordan Brand took inspiration from the MB.03 and fell far short. Thanks for the review. I appreciate that you're willing to call out Nike and Jordan Brand on their b.s. What they keep doing is why my closet is getting more and more diverse in brands--there's Nike but also New Balance, Hoka, Mizuno, Asics, and Salomon. Here's a comment, and there's a like ⬆ up there.

Idk why but I’m really skeptical of the traction on these. Maybe seeing Luka switch to the 1s during the playoffs is giving me a gut feeling. Great video as always!

Hate to disagree with you, I am not saying they are great shoes...but they are so much more comfortable than the 1 or 2...The Luka 1 and 2 were some of the stiffest shoes I have ever worn and I love Luka (so I am very likely to like his shoes)...I thought these were a HUGE improvement. Also, I am pretty sure the colorway looks that way b/c of the Slovenian national team (same green)

If you account for the inflation of a shoe 7 years ago. KD’s started as budget model. 7 years ago this shoe would have been $100. So I see this through the same lens
