Got the chance to sit down with Jordan Nix in College Station Texas. Jordan is an amazing song writer with and incredibly powerful voice.
Jordan had this to say:
I’m the youngest of 5 children. My parents played and wrote, and that was passed to my siblings and myself. Music was a constant part of my growing up. Processing life through song writing was just a natural part of that progression.
I don’t know that anyone who knows me would call me a cowboy. I’ve been on a horse one time when I was 7. But I grew up in a place where that was a very real thing. Ranching, rodeoing, raising animals were all things I got to be close to and see from a few steps away. There is an honesty and goodness in that way of life. I’m no cowboy, but I’ll give you the shirt off my back, and that's definitely something that comes from growing up where I did.
