Jordan, after 32 years and 3 wars with the U.S. Army, and even though I climbed to the highest success possible at my skill set, upon retirement I was lost and suffering quietly. I am a happy, successful guy but something inside me was gone, I had changed and not for the better. Thank you for waking me up and not allowing me to indulge in self pity. I carried my load up that goddamn hill and it didn’t break me, that’s what you taught me. Now, instead of struggling to forget the horrors of combat, I embrace the remarkable beauty that I am still here and have at least 25 years of life left to carry the heaviest load I can. You freed my mind from hell and I will always love you for this. Thank you. CW4, L.W, U.S. Army, Retired

32 years in the military and now it's over. That's a tough one. I can't imagine how embedded one can be leaving a pretty intense job like the military after a long time. But when one door closes, another one opens. Then you have to say now what and then need to find a new mission or missions. The world is full of problems and is always in need of problem solvers. I see some of my coworkers retiring after decades of work, looks rough for some. I have no desire to retire and sit around. If you want to stay sharp, you have to constantly sharpen the blade. Acquire more tools is also a lot of fun too. Good luck and thank you for your decades of service.

I wish I would have had access Dr Petersons advice when I was younger. I got a chance to meet Dr Peterson for a quick meet and greet. I thought to myself, my gosh, what would I say to him. How could I convey my gratitude and appreciation for the inspiration I have received from him in 40 seconds. Overwhelmed, I could only utter “Thank you, thank you so much” and “Mikayla is one lucky girl to have you as her father.” ( I must have sounded like an idiot lol) What I wanted to convey is that I am so envious that she had his teaching throughout her life, and for that she has grown into this amazing person despite the fact that she had many physical ailments to overcome. Theres a comic named Joey Diaz that I love too, only because he has been thru tons. His mother died at an early age, forced to grow up by jumping from house to house, was dead broke sleeping on park play grounds during East coast winters, in the snow. Beat a cocinera addiction, and went to prison and jail many times before finally cleaning up. 2 very different people but Joey's life just reminds me that no matter how awful things are at the moment, things DO get better. "I was visiting Paris and met a priest, and I asked him what he had learned after a long life as priest and he answered that people are a lot more unhappy than you would think". In the last 6 months I've given up on everything in life. No family No close friends. Betrayed by my closest friend, mentor, who was also my employer. All gone. I couldn't be a part of thier despicable, harmful and unethical business practices. Violating people's rights, stealing their homes. So Angry and so ashamed I didn't know what was happening and it took me some investing to catch it..... If you ever have to give everything job home clients who were friends. Because it's the right thing to do. Morally ethically and spiritually. I'm still trying to pick myself up. I think I might be able to face the day today. These words ..... I can breathe ..... I can see light at the end of this tunnel now. God Bless this man Jordan. .

That would be amazing. Unfortunately, modern academia pretty much hates Jordan Peterson across the board. Of course there are some exceptions, but getting this into the majority of schools would be quite an endeavor. This is not to sound pessimistic, it's totally doable, but it would take a lot of work. I think at least for starters, parents should be the ones turning their kids on to this kind of stuff, and then the long-term goal would be to introduce this to the school system as a whole, perhaps even as curriculum.

Excellent way of view. The true father mentality. My father who is the best man I’ve ever known, grew up in extreme poverty, neglect, and sadness. He decided to be more at a young age and went into the military at 17, during the 60’s. My father told me one day that a sad adolescent life should never define the life that you deserve. That you have to make up your mind and pull yourself up by your bootstraps. He was a stand in father figure for all my brothers friends and my friends who had broken homes. To this day many of those kids still say that my father was instrumental in making them better adults.

School is not meant or designed for that. Go somewhere else if you want to learn how to be better. It is my opinion that school should be offered at the age of 12/15 years old. And should be optional. First what should be mandatory is this form of education. Coupled with math and reading (by reading, I mean reading like the human mind is designed to input information, not as the school system teaches you how to read). That's it. Nothing else. Only thing that could be done about this situation, is to continue YOUR learning, BUT....put YOUR kids and future generations somewhere else, than traditional school. This, so we don't F**k up the world with utterly useless crap.

After a long life he finally thought he was living his life. I had been been to Jerusalem, Santiago de compostela & Rome - and he lamented having been occupied with what was expected/demanded of him instead of living. I repeatedly told him that it's never too late. When we finally reached Santiago after 830 km's & 30 days - we were both in tears. Life can be a wonderful thing, but we need to choose it and other things may need to he sacrificed. If I can continue to do what he did at 74 - I'll die with a smile on my face. Dreams only die if we let them.

I had a variety of difficulties hit me since I was diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disorder. I've sincerely prayed for guidance and received it. One instruction was to complete the requirements for a German degree. At first it was awful, anxiety provoking and terrifying. I needed an accomodation contract that allowed me extra time for tests and assignments, which I obtained. After a couple years I stopped needing so much accomodation. I'm not the same National Merit scholar that I was before contracting this disease. Back then I took the ACT and got very high scores in both math and verbal skills without any preparation beyond high school classes. I have become much more devoted and disciplined, and throughout my program I've gotten the highest grade in the classes or close to it. That's been interesting to note. My memory isn't as good as I want it to be, but overall I'm so much better. I've crawled out of the cognitive pit I fell into. Learning another language has done so much for me. I am pleased by reading and watching Goethe's Faust Part I and II, understanding it and writing about the elements of 1Enoch in it and how Goethe and Milton obtained that information despite it not being able in its current form in Europe. I've loved learning linguistics. The difficulties with that have been many, but I love it. I'm so grateful for the new view of people and history it affords me. I frequently listen to Dr. Peterson because he motivates me and helps me get back on track when I'm discouraged. Than you Dr. Peterson. Thanks so much.

Also, as part of my video creation progress, I’m switching to a better editing software and a camera so the learning curve is much higher and slows down the completion speed of my next videos so please hang on tight! I do appreciate your support and kind words! I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)

@@joycehaines2055 I sincerely appreciate your encouragement! When I was a kid, all I wanted was to have a career that pays well so I can buy whatever I want but now that I’m grown up and went through tons of setbacks from losing tons of people in my life, getting lost in the world with full of life traps, being ridiculed for pursuing my dreams, and so on, I can say that long-lasting happiness can’t be bought or earned because it comes from within us. Continue to grow as a person and I’m so glad that you’re part of this journey! I’m hoping to upload my next one this month, which is more than an hr long. Perfect. Perfect words for an imperfect world we live in today.
@amerikanviking
@amerikanviking Жыл бұрын
The World is perfect as it was intended. We are imperfect. And, the imperfect being we are were entrusted with this great perfect world. We are destroying it. That's the problem. If the majority of people lived the same way that Jordan does, then we would find our purpose on this planet and make the world a better place not only for us, but for the creatures we've been given dominion over. They aren't just our food. They are ours to take care of as well. The plants, the animals, the water, the soil, everything this world is made of is ours to take care of. We don't do that. We don't even take care of eachother. People have lost their direction, they have lost their purpose, we've become greedy and corrupt. Like I said, the world is perfect. We are the imperfect ones. We destroy what we've been given, we destroy eachother, and we destroy ourselves. It's sad.

This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it kzfaq.infoUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.

Don’t let Peterson, as excellent as he is ... don’t let him take the place of Jesus. The tears that you cry are our longing for the Lord. I have them, too, they show up when my core is touched with contemplation of the human condition. Peterson, again as good as he is, doesn’t know the Lord. And he can’t give us what the Lord can give us ... the entire package needed for peace and security ... unto eternity. Jesus is Lord. God bless you. ☦️💚🙂

@@gherieg.1091 I don't mean to judge, so please read this as such, but I genuinely have curiosity about this. Who are you worshipping, God or Jesus? We are to worship the creator and not God's creation. Jesus is a creation of God. Jesus is good and has beautiful teachings. But ultimately God is the one who we should be looking to?
@gherieg.1091
@gherieg.1091 Жыл бұрын
@@williamgottschalk1097 Rare, the way you ask with such respect. Kudos, sir. Ok ... indeed the teachings of Jesus are Life, as He Himself puts it. You know God is Omnipotent, right ? He is also Omnipresent. Nothing is impossible to Him. If anyone can conceive it, He can do it. Through Moses, He made potable water come from a solid rock structure. That’s what God means, right ? Now ... there’s a principle of atoning for sin in the Mosaic Law that involves “substitute punishment for sin”. You “transfer” your sins onto a young lamb “without blemish”, and then kill it. It has to be considered pure, because young. But that’s temporary stopgap absolution, it doesn’t get rid of your sins. But 2000 years back, God became a man in order to do away with our sins for good ... that is, if we accept Jesus’ sacrifice. After the fashion of that Innocent lamb. God is able to be both God the Father, and Jesus the Son AT THE SAME TIME ... because of His Divine Attribute of Omnipresence. He is able to be in as many places as He wants, 100% presence, while He remains on His Throne in Heaven as the Father God. So Jesus, God the Son, is the Way for humans to be reunited with “God” in general, having through Jesus’s Cross overcome the sin of Ego that got mom and dad (Adam and Eve ) expelled from paradise. This is NOT Christians’ idea. Who would write a script like that and dare present it as truth ! They’d rightfully be worried that they’d be pilloried and ridiculed. Right ? But all the apostles held on to that assertion to the point of martyrdom. Not just because they were His followers, they were martyred ... but because they maintained that He is the Son of God, and God. They knew it. As do we Christians know it. His Spirit in us makes up accept it as the Truth that it is. He says “no one can come to the Father except through Me” and “if you pray in My Name, I’ll do it for you”. So we follow His teachings, through the help of His Spirit in us, in order to in spirit reconnect to the Father ... the Trinity. Not an idea generated by Christians, it is God’s plan at work. Jesus is Lord. God bless you. ☦️🤍🙂
