I've been struggling with these things all my life and since digesting professor Petersons words and putting them into action, in just 8 months my life about turned from suicidal to getting in work,facing the debtor's , improving health, also smaller things like losing weight, dressing tidyish) and I can for once in my life look forward positively and actually making plans to enjoy my life. I have never been able to even think of the future never mind plan it. No joke, Jordan Petersons material is worth more than gold. Honestly, try it, keep it up, it's not easy, intact it's very hard at times but just give it time and weather it's a month, a year or more I don't know but when it starts to shift and it's slow at first but before you know you're flying and I have confidence in myself now I have the manual. I am facing job at the end of January and it was truly a situation where a toxic executive decided I was expendable because he saw me as a threat. I know I am being wrongfully dismissed and I am distraught by the thought of facing a difficult job market. I was in overwhelm since I was told on Monday. This made sense of what happened today .... how my path was so smooth and clear when......the constrained chaos underneath everything inhibited by your contextual knowledge suddenly popped it's head up to your world... it's like the shark in the movie Jaws..... I was so frustrated.... now I'm like... ok.... that's a good way of looking at his day. Everything was going so smoothly until the various subterranean thing popped up in each circumstance that can pull you down and interrupt the peace in the good purposeful activities taking place. Those things were not relevant to the good purpose or activities, plans.... then he goes off on some other idea of thought. I will think of this each time we have a meeting or something goes so wrong like when the neighbor decided to kick my dog.... "Subterranean thing emerging again.... I'll stay the course.

Figuring out who I am is extremely difficult for me, mostly because I don't really understand 'having an identity'... I'm a 28yo Belgian male and I've been looking for a life that suits me for over 10 years. - at 14, I started as a 'flagguy' at an indoor karting, was the mechanic when I left (just Honda 250cc 4 strokes so nothing too crazy). -at 18, I took a chemistry class and started working at Fina (same job as Homer Simpson). -at 21, I started working in a restaurant. -at 22, i started as a windowcleaner in a company. A few months later, the same company asked me if i would like to start in their heavy duty cleaning team(suicides, murders, familydrama's) -at 24, I started working as a mechanic for cleaning machines ( the ones that clean supermarkets with the substractor on the back) -at 25, I bought a small Greek restaurant with my sister -at 27, i started working in the same restaurant that I worked in at 21. Then someone approached me and asked if I was interested in becoming a drone pilot. So i took the class(3000€!!!!) and just recently finished it. Now at 28, a good friend asked me if I wanted to go with him to Angola, Afrika for work i don't really know yet. Does anyone recognize this in any way? Can you please leave a comment because I don't know anymore. It feels like I'm floating on the open sea in a stupid broken boat. . Thank you for reading my nonsense.

The closing analogy he used about the beast outside the cave registered for me as a warrior fled inside a cave, and a beast with an unknown size lurks on the outside. What does a warrior do? Does he do what we do in modern times and panic about the adversity that could be lurking outside of the cave how big is it how big are its claws what will happen to me in the next few days in the next few hours can I handle this? I wonder if Jordan Peterson has ever read A Course in Miracles. All of his talks have an element the ACIM. Especially the obstacles in life that hold us back. Its the looking at the obstacles and seeing that they are nothing, is what get us through them and make us less fearful. Being prepared also makes its much easier to get through any difficulty.
