Jordan is a genius. He cleverly is acting as though his advice appeals to a large percentage of people when it really takes hold of a small number of people who this described near perfectly. They are eccentric intelligent and probably socially ostracized or socially misunderstood these people are struggling with mental and tangible problems around them maybe even on a daily basis. These people deep down want to do great good for the world as well as become what they envisioned their life being with value in their own sense. Much like the “greatest generation” of our great grandparentsand grandparents and some of you out there’s parents as well. These mostly young and growing individuals are going to be critically important to the progression of our species as a whole. There are going to be problems and issues that we couldn’t even begin to imagine that are going to permeate the future and just as much as they are being taught by this man now we will need to be teaching this to our children and to have them carry it on as it is the number 2 permanent survival asset to the human race next to genetic autonomic adaptability, Experience and Grit. Petersen must be a genius-level savant thinker to begin to understand how to approach this problem to help fix it on a humanity benefitting level such as turning out the brightest minds of our generations that previously could’ve succumbed to these existential thoughts and emotional enigmas and committed suicide thus depriving humanity of some of its could’ve been greatest contributors to arts science culture and advancement especially on a technological level. Just like the age old thought that maybe the cure to cancer was locked inside the head of a starving poor child or struggling young adult in a poorer country. We should be grateful and jubilant that jordan is who he is and is doing what he is doing out of the goodness of his heart and expressing these thoughts on a level that can be accessed by nearly every person on the planet. Amazing Guy!! Thank you Jordan and thank you Peterson family for assisting him!!

Thank you for the amazing lecture, Jordan Peterson! :) With great power comes with great responsibilities. This is applies not to only me, but everyone else too... What that's not what I meant! ughhhhh idk what's happening here...i said "everyone": including all race, gender, and just simply EVERYONE! Not leaving anyone else behind. That's just history, goes back to roman empire..pfftt since day 1 of time!!! Women can be leaders too! True, we should learn from not only our own human race history, but ourselves too. We just need to reflect, then proceed how we should progress for a better future... Sorry. I am listening. Agreed. We need a little more time. I really want that. But, im trying to be "careful". I just don't know where my life is going at the moment. I understand. Thank you Jordan Peterson for everything for leading me here.

I just came to learn about Jordon Peterson. I wonder Jordon has read the holy book Quran. He seems like have a mastery in Islamic theology. When he talks about life struggle, meaning and responsibility , this is what we learn from the Quran . Please see this verse from the Quran “ Verily, We shall put you to test with some fear, and hunger, and with some loss of wealth, lives, and offspring. And (O Muhammad) convey good tidings to those who are patient, who say, when inflicted by hardship, "Verily we are of God and verily to Him shall we return;" upon them is the blessings of Allah and His mercy”. (Quran 2:155)

@@bpssrby As far as I can tell all religions teach these kind of things. I know you most probably think differently but I truly believe all religions talk about the same force (or energy or godly spirit). It is very empowering thought... Do you have any suggestions of books/texts of the Quran which talks about this kind of teachings?

Yes, brother suhail. Tenents such as patience and others were also in the bible. JP is a Christian. As you know, Muslims believe the Bible was a book from God but is considered an outdated version; so not surprising there is overlap :) Along with him being a psychologist!

That definitely isn't the biblical take on the story of Adam and Eve. Your story of them initially in one body is not biblical, it is from Greek Mythology. It is said that the first human being was a spherical body, with 2 sets of heads, arms and legs. Their combined knowledge rivaled that of the gods and they feared and envied this being and cut them asunder and separated them. And so it is that men and women spend their lives looking for their other half trying to reunite.

I like this bit it verges a little too dar into neuroticism. There is no such thing as karma and we don't always deserve the bad things that happen to us. It wasn't Cain's fault. God is a capricious, fickle, petty being. Sometimes you can do everything right in life and it's still a shitshow. There is no fairness in nature. It's pretty much just chaos and hostility. Be as malevolent as you want because God clearly does not care.
@samwallaceart288

God cares about the soul. He made the human body to decay and die. Die today, die in 30 years; the difference is like positions on a chess board. God knows that the soul is immortal, and that is what concerns him. Only He knows when the time is right for it to be our time. Until then, the best we can do is use every day, and accept that tomorrow is at His mercy. Nothing petty about the soul; the rest can and will be left behind; just a question of how soon.

@@samwallaceart288 If God 1. existed and 2. cared about us then he wouldn't use helpless living creatures that can suffer and feel pain as chess pieces.
@samwallaceart288
@samwallaceart288 3 жыл бұрын
@@KFrost-fx7dt Time is the chess-board, our bodies are the pieces. Our soul survives all of it; rather, God wants our soul to survive, but we play an active part in how well our soul is preserved. The point is about how we keep our soul as life comes and goes. Preserving physical life was never the point; everyone dies, that is not a negotiation. The negotiation is, how much of our soul survives; that is the one part where we truly have a choice. You feed your soul by doing what you need to do, the things you have a calling for that make your heart glow when you do them. You starve your soul when you ignore yourself and wallow in comfort for comfort’s sake and bitterness for bitterness’ sake. Material pleasure is nice, but it, like all material things, decays. And when all is decayed, then what is your soul supposed to do? Continue starving, even when all material distractions have been utterly annihilated; this starvation without distraction is alternatively known as hell. Obviously, we’ll suffer and die; that’s just how this works. The question is, the part inside us that glows and has consciousness that not even science can explain even in 2021; if there’s any chance that that part of yourself continues existing without the body, then it’s worth honoring that for what it is, and treat it like it’s immortal and figure out what feeds it. If there is any one thing that humans can actually control, it’s the health and protection of their soul.

15:14 - BAD ADVICE JORDAN! A man/woman would NEVER (by definition) allow oneself to take a title of "defendend/plaintiff", etc. (JOB - man shall accept no titles) - it is clear you are missing a piece of information jordan, this is not inconsequential. a woman is a creation of the creator, and are subject to the LAW (of the land), not the LEGAL system (of the sea), unless they surrender jurisdiction by accepting a title, which is EXACTLY what happens the moment you hire a lawyer. the legal system is private, if you hire a lawyer, you are granting consent to step into the court, and the judge (from the private British Accredited Registry) to administrate over your property. do you not know this, or are you forbidden from speaking about it? can you confirm that you agree with the following two sentence statement: The opposite of LEGAL is not ILLEGAL The opposite of LEGAL is LAW the OPPOSITE! Do you understand this jordan? we should talk. i have answers. love and peace my friend

it is clear youre brainwashed and have never lived on our planet. you're going to need a lawyer eventually....probably in your divorce proceedings if you think you are created rather than a product of human sex, then keep thinking you don't need titles. everyone has one. or do you go about life as an "it"? you don't have "answers" you have opinions. big difference. if you break the LAW you are doing illegal acts, and therefor need a lawyer . if you aren't doing illegal acts and are accused of such, you REALLY need a lawyer. so stfu
