Extreme focus is a powerful weapon if used correctly, but that weapon will damage you when you use it.

Oof… well said man. That explains the cause of my obsessive-compulsive disorder in electrical engineering school which ruined my mental health at the time. Graduated at the top of my class but at great cost. Wasn’t worth it.

It wouldn’t damage you if you don’t use that on people I get mental illness is different but if you have a thing for concentration it can be used for great things for yourself and others

People can show signs and tendencies without actually being psychopaths, narcissists or machiavellian. You learn that on your first day of psychology class.

That's psychotic, not psychopathic. Psychopathic means you're not capable of feeling empathy. Psychotics are the paranoid delusional ones. Psychopath and psychotic mean two very different things. A psychopath is someone who feels little to no empathy, is calm, is not able to feel anxiety or fear the way most people do. It's like they have an emotional and empathic void inside them. Which is why some of them end up being serial killers. Think of Gus Fring or Todd from Breaking Bad. Those are psychopaths.

Paranoid psychopath sounds like an oxymoron. Sociopath, maybe but not Psychopath. They don’t feel fear, so what is their to be paranoid about.
@Ynox543218 ай бұрын
They may be hypersensitive to humiliation, status, being "outdone" in the game of taking advantage of others, etc... "fear" means a lot of different things. It doesn't necessarily refer to the emotion you feel when you are in a violently dangerous situation.
@user-fj3hy5wv9w8 ай бұрын
Its not fear. Its anger. Anger is not simply a negative emotion.
@dieu50418 ай бұрын
@@user-fj3hy5wv9w psychopaths don’t feel emotions though, they don’t feel fear nor pride.
@dieu50418 ай бұрын
@@Ynox54321 that’s not psychopathy, psychopaths do not feel any emotions. So no, they don’t feel humiliated or even fear. We tend to get sociopathy and psychopathy confused. The most accurate depiction of a psychopath I’ve ever seen was Todd from breaking bad. Despite how many times his life was in danger he never showed fear and didn’t even care when his entire family was murdered.
@user-fj3hy5wv9w8 ай бұрын
@@dieu5041 Psychopaths do have feelings … well, some feelings. While psychopaths show a specific lack in emotions, such as anxiety, fear and sadness, they can feel other emotions, such as happiness, joy, surprise, anger and disgust, in a similar way as most of us would.

Something is considered a personality disorder when it interferes with your ability to live a normal life. It's not immoral to be paranoid. The paranoid person is the one suffering under their condition, because they're incapable of building trusting relationships.
