What's really funny is that this will take away all the office jobs and the only available jobs will be in the service industries and manual labor. And if you don't work, you won't get an income. It's not sentient yet.....but...... if/when that happens.....
@hitbox7422
@hitbox7422 2 ай бұрын
There is no sentience to derive from extrapolating outside context and encapsulate it into given context. GPT seems „smart“ but it’s only a reactive framework, incapable of understanding any of the stuff we throw at it. That’s something people do not really understand.

@@barsaf9989 It is both frightening and exciting to see this technology unfold exponentially. I have been interested in this for years. The first thing that caught my attention was a lecture by Demis Hassabis about seven or eight years ago. The potential for optimization and self-improvement is exhilarating. The most interesting thing is the potential for this technology to evolve and optimize things that we can't even dream of, creating positive ripple effects throughout our society, both industrial and social. Medication, engineering, programming, energy, environment, and economics will all be targets for overwhelming increases in structure and effectiveness.Of course, there is the potential for the opposite effect if we are not careful about who is in control and why.

@@IAMISEE You think you're so smart, with your fancy words and your educated mind But wisdom ain't just about what you know, it's how you use it all the time You claim that ignorance is a fool's game, but you're the one who's playing it You think you've got it all figured out, but you're just as lost as the rest of us You think you're on top of the world, with your perfect grades and your high-class degree But what good is all that knowledge if you can't use it to set yourself free You think you know everything, but you're just as ignorant as the next guy You may have all the answers, but you're still asking all the wrong questions, why? You may think you're wise, but that doesn't mean you're right Just because you know something doesn't mean you're gonna win the fight Don't be so quick to judge, and don't assume you know it all You may think you're on top, but you could still take a fall So don't be so quick to boast, and don't be so sure of yourself You may think you're on top, but you could still end up on the shelf You may think you're the smartest one in the room, but that doesn't mean you're the best Don't be so quick to judge, and don't forget to take the rest of us into account, lest.

When will AI be turned loose on quantum and celestial mechanics ? How long before they start rewriting physics ? Or are they bound by our own limited knowledge ?
@woogieboogie3889
@woogieboogie3889 Жыл бұрын
I think what you say will happen very quickly. They wont be limited by our knowledge but rather explode because of processing power. I think I'm fairly knowledgeable and intelligent, but I can only hold so many systems in my head until things start falling out of the old dome piece. I dont think humans by themselves will surpass too much of what we know now for that reason. The universe is so complex that we just cant hold enough smaller systems in our thoughts long enough to see the bigger picture. We already have mountains of data that... we just dont really understand it. Its too much. AI wont have that problem.
