Someone spread a (false) vicious rumor about me at my workplace very recently. Peterson is right: the cost to the person gossiped about is really, really high.

Me too but after years I’m learning that the power is truly in your hands. It’s not what happens to you it’s how you react.

Peterson. I agree with you on this one. It’s human nature. I’ve given up on people. At individual level maybe I don’t feel instantly nauseated, but the bloody mobs (i.e. two or more)… Oh, man, that is DISGUSTING 🤮

I am in depression because of losing a potential relationship destroyed by a woman gossiped at work only coz she was jealous and unhappy in her relationship. I am heartbroken. The person I liked has left the workplace and I have to deal with all of the gossip, talks and reputation damage myself. M just so hurt and I am a 100 percent confident fearless woman but my emotions have been fractured by this woman. She is insecure and will die that way but it’s just so hurtful to see her and her gang everyday at work. I wanna quit my job but I won’t coz I am strong. But on somedays m exhausted since I can’t trust anyone and have no one to share what she did with me. It’s devastating!! M hurt and on somedays m done being strong!

I wouldn't take it personally it could be you or someone else the reason why they do this is because they're miserable and usually misery loves company, they can't stand to look in the mirror. A person who truly loves themselves [ not in a conceided or narcissistic way ] would never do that !

I don't think there has been any force more destructive than the gossip that was spoken about me most of which was completely untrue and the parts that were were grossly exaggerated. Many religions compare gossiping to killing someone because you're killing their reputation. It's a horrible thing to do. If you have ever gossiped about someone you owe it to them to do the exact opposite and say just as many positive things about them in public.

Spreading faleshoods is like sowing thistles amoungst the wheat seed. Yet if the gossip is true then the damge can not be repaired and the thistles seeds grow into mighty trees.

Jordan is not the victim of gossip, he filed a lawsuit against his peers in the case of Peterson v. College of Psychologists of Ontario, 2023 ONSC 4685 DIVISIONAL COURT FILE NO.: 714/22 DATE: 20230823. He also practices defamation of children when he made the video against the GAG order of the Montana Supreme Court involving the Montana Kolstadt family court case. And to boot, the US Supreme Court just affirmed it in a case identical in Indiana be reusing to even hear the case for certiorari.

Lets see the ENTIRE story of Jordan Peterson. His bad conduct in courts in the case of Case 1 Sordi v. Sordi, 2009 CanLII 80104 (ON SC) he defamed a parent in court. In the case 2 R. v. Pearce, 2012 MBQB 22 (CanLII) he tried to free a murderer. Then in the case Peterson v. College of Psychologists of Ontario, 2023 ONSC 4685, he tried to avoid taking responsibility. He also tried to interfere in a family court case in Montana, the Kolstadt case, where there was a GAG order, he unprofessionally diagnosed a minor without interviews or assessments, and tried to defend unfit parents.

I have learned something from reading Plato. The important thing to take when interacting with anyone is the beneficial ideas they might have for me regardless of who the person is or might be. So, take what you can learn because it might be true regardless of whether the person is someone you like or dislike.

@@ymaaw3735 But Plato was the one that also promoted the elimination of BIASES. Which Jordan champions BIAS in everything he says. Still, Plato’s goal was, in essence, to help people see through their own biases and flawed assumptions-things that are just as pervasive today as they were in Ancient Greece. Although he lived more than two thousand years ago, his work reflects an understanding of many cognitive biases and heuristics that have been coined by modern-day behavioral scientists. Again, Jordan has ACTED on bias and done so for selfish purposes.
