Her shop is fantastic. I live in Florida and we did a road trip to Washington State and I had the honor of meeting Donna. She's a very down to earth person. I bought several precut quilts for king and green size beds, table runners and baby quilts. Was really had that they had free shipping. The staff at her shop is the greatest so helpful and very nice. Thank you Donna for the meey and great and ALL your wonderful tutorials, Mats cutting and the rest of your staff. I love my picture with you wish I knew how to attach it so I could send it to you. Thanks again. Stay safe one and all.

For those who don't have a big table, I put up a $4 flannel backed tablecloth from Wal-Mart in my hallway with the flannel side showing. It makes an easy design wall. If you are doing a bigger quilt, overlap 2 of them. You can also put it on an open floor area and roll it up to get it out of the way.

Sometimes I buy charm packs that I like just for the colorway. When I get them home, I'll pair them, contrasting colors, then I'll draw lines on the backs. Because So Many quilts nowadays is made up of half-square triangles. That way when I find a good pattern, then I'm ready to sew. I use just old fashion no.2 pencil.

Love this pattern. Like your idea of a swatch of fabrics numbering the different colours.

I just love the way you teach! Everything makes so much more sense hearing it from you. And thank you for showing us the difference between the "Y" seam method (and how to do it!) and the half square triangle method. 😊😊😊

Thank you for going over the Y seams. My son wants a compass quilt & I’ve been dragging my feet. Never even thought about making the grain lines match up!!
