Exactly!! Like i loved all of nmixx's songs at first listen and people say how can they have fans? i hope the girls don't feel sad by those words. They're talented people and I'm happy to always enjoy their music. And it's annoying how people always say they should sing normal songs, when they have bsides that don't have switch ups ugh. Dadaism has an intentionally stupid name and crazy visuals to drive this point home, but funnily enough, it started to become popular. It's a brilliant concept for NMIXX--just a matter of learning how to balance the craziness

exactly! if nmixx followed the same creative path as twice & itzy, jype would just have made another girl group for the sake of producing an idol group. i love that nmixx is simply doing different things. kpop music has been so linear nowadays that when o.o came out it was so jarring to listen to music that's been structured so differently than what we're used to hearing from kpop and people were so quick to judge. i've genuinely enjoyed their releases, both o.o and dice were unpredictable and it makes me seriously curious and excited about what they will do for their next comeback ✨

On the other hand, dice was far better than o.o , i liked it on the first listen. But i agree NMIXX's music isn't for everyone, but as a person who really likes music which challenges me, i really admire dice wayyyy more than o.o. which ig is also why aespa are my ults, their music cannot fit everyone's taste either but you need some time to truly understand the beauty and pleasance of their music. I love the mysterious aspect these girls' music has.

For example, O.O sounds so random but the lyrics tell the viewers that they are here, this is what they can do, they'll be serving you these kind of visuals and talents, and that they are versatile so be prepared because y'all will be shaken by their presence. Song lyrics are like poetry, sometimes it sounds like it doesn't make sense but if you read it deeper and think freely and use your imagination, you can find something... But if you don't want this kind of artistry, go find other music that fits your standard... I really love mashups and mixed kinds of music and sometimes I even listen to fanmade kpop mashups than the original songs, and NMIXX music feeds my musical cravings that I believe no one will ever understand. Like Jordan says, it is like abstract in visual arts but in kpop. Like I said, if you don't like these kinds of music then find something else that fits your taste. Just because most of y'all don't like their music doesn't mean nobody liked them. I LOVE their mixed-vibes music, and I don't want them to change it just because some people said so. As long as the NMIXX members and fans enjoyed their music, it's fine. No artist wants to be dictated on what kind of art they will make, so let them be, it's their art, not yours.

Their actually charting this cb which is good because on their debut they where struggling to actually get on the charts but the groups that where charting well was blackpink, ive, all new jeans song, le sserafim, Zico and wsg. Nobody really liked Dice a lot and it wasn’t trending in Korea like where are u getting this false info. But people actually think it’s better that their debut since their debut was so controversial since it wasn’t a pleasant song to listen too.

Tru, nmixx was just hated because it is the trend to hate them. Ppl doesn't really have enough reference to hate them. Plus, I've had enough seeing comments like "hope jype will give them GOOD song" like what's their basis or criteria to label one's song bad right? And why would jype risk their name and label to something bad? It's a business afterall so they knew what's going on.

Being the most controversial group doesn't mean everyone hates it. Quite the contrary - if everyone hates it it isn't controversial, it's well decided by everyone that it is bad. The fact you are sick of people criticising them for no reason means they are controversial. Controversial is by far the best way to describe how people in general feel about NMIXX and I don't think any group is as controversial (as far as their songs go).

Expecting people to “enjoy all kpop songs without criticism” is the problem. Everyone doesn’t have to like every song or music video, people are welcome to their opinions.

Interesting take. I actually "stan" this group, but just like O.O it left my brain a mess on first few listens. Took a day or two away, then checked their dance and lives and suddenly my brain gets the mixed "structure." I also thought it did not showcase their strengths based on the mv, but their live performances told me otherwise. It's nice touch as well to see the lyrics incorporate the expected response from the masses. In the end, I'm glad theyre trying to do "new" stuff for a jype gg even though we've all seen this with bohemian rhapsody and SM songs.
