Incredibly beautiful. The wisdom and taste of knowing how to go a long distance: an aesthetic marathon. I'm sure Bolet could have played it twice as fast without effort. Noblesse.

Bolet has made me love this piece - that I usually didn't like in the hands of other pianists.

Mestre Bolet.

This. So many right things here.

It's the studied elegance of Bolet that defies terrestrial description. And there is never any of the rushed mush that disfigures other so-called greats. Why is Bolet the greatest? Because he plays every note like his life depended on it. Santiago approaches his Rachmaninov heights. But elsewhere, Bolet commands his repertoire absolutely.

he and weissenberg played it with great transparence, really great.
