The evolution of anime series through 91 titles carefully selected according to their importance (popularity and influence) in Japan (since 1963 to 1992) and worldwide (since 1992 to the present). The selection was based on the following sources:
- History of anime (English): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History...
- History of anime (Japanese): ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%82%...
- TV Asahi Top 100 Anime Survey: www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...
- Animage Top 100 Anime Listing: www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...
- Top Anime by Popularity: myanimelist.net/topanime.php?...
- Anime: A History (by Jonathan Clements)
Note: I had to add a Nokia ringtone in some parts of the video and some openings are muted too. I had to do that because of copyright issues. I hope you don't mind ᴜᴡᴜ

I am Polish. Japan saved 765 Polish orphans in 1920 and 1922. The orphan was in Siberia. Japanese continued to rescue Polish orphans in Siberia. The smallest orphan that Japan saved was a two-year-old child. Polish orphans were sent to Japan for treatment. Japan fed the Polish orphans a hot meal every day. All Polish orphans have recovered. Japan continued to love Polish orphans very much. All Japanese donated money to save Polish orphans. Polish orphans were always smiling. Japan has successfully returned 765 Polish orphans to Poland. I will not forget this story. Thanks to Japan. God bless Japan.

I'm grow up watching 2000s-2016s anime, but I think the best period of anime industry is 2010-2016. In these 6 years have shown some of the best anime before that there were also a lot of cool anime, but mostly they were shonen. After 2016, the quality of anime began to deteriorate. @@rayden_1665 2012 onwards IMO started the new revolution in animes with SAO (major improvement quality of animation) followed by AoT in 2013. Ngl if you showed me those animes at the time, I would've counted in into "futuristic looking" stuff & would've never given them both a try (since by that time I would be used to the slow paced, old 2d animation). After AoT this decade animes like JJK and Demon slayer are the only ones who IMO showed a new style & major improvement in anime (the opening song animation of JJK is mad fluid & good with the good amount of lighting & other editing effects + Demon slayer having it's own unique style of animation)

I grew up with anime in the 2000s and its where I was introduced and it defined me as a person, but something about early 2010s anime just hits different. It was a renaissance in many ways that paved the way for anime to becoming mainstream overseas more than ever and it makes me really nostalgic. The 2020s have been no slouch either so far. Anime will always deliver no matter the time frame. I love and thank Japan for bringing this beautiful medium to the world ❤️

6:13 anime is masterpiece 👍 Saint Seiya is considered one of the biggest anime phenomenons of the 1980s. It would become the inspiration for future series and movies, including several Gundam series such as Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Bleach, Legend of Heavenly Sphere Shurato, Ronin Warriors, Wild Knights Gulkeeva and Clash of the Titans. Dragon Ball's author Akira Toriyama is also fan of Saint Seiya's author There are many series, movies and manga in Saint Seiya Multiverse I. Saint Seiya classic (Episodes : 114) II. Saint Seiya The Hades Chapter Sanctuary (Episodes : 13) III. Saint Seiya The Hades Chapter Inferno (Episodes : 12) IV. Saint Seiya Soul of Gold (Episodes : 13) V. Saint Seiya The Hades Chapter Elysion (Episodes : 6) VI. Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas (Season 1 - Episodes : 13) VII. Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas (Season 2 - Episodes : 13) VIII. Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas Season 3 has been cancelled, you need to read Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas' manga at Chapter 96 to 223 why? Because in May 2013, TMS Entertainment announced via it's Twitter account that there were no plans for a third season for Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas anime. IX. Saint Seiya Omega (Episodes : 97) X. Saint Seiya Saintia Shō (Season 1 - Episodes : 10) XI. NETFLIX ORIGINAL Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya (Season 1 - Episodes : 12) MOVIES : I. Saint Seiya Evil Goddess Eris II. Saint Seiya The Heated Battle of the Gods III. Saint Seiya Legend of Crimson Youth IV. Saint Seiya Warriors of the Final Holy Battle V. Saint Seiya Heaven Chapter Overture VI. Saint Seiya Legend of Sanctuary VII. Saint Seiya Knights of the Zodiac - LIVE ACTION MOVIE (Coming in 2023) MANGA : I. Saint Seiya (Completed) II. Saint Seiya Next Dimension (Ongoing) III. Saint Seiya Episode Zero (Completed) IV. Saint Seiya Origin (Completed) V. Saint Seiya Destiny (Completed) VI. Saint Seiya Episode G (Completed) VII. Saint Seiya Episode G Assassin (Completed) VIII. Saint Seiya Episode G Requiem (Ongoing) IX. Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas (Completed) X. Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas Gaiden (Ongoing) XI. Saint Seiya Saintia Shō (Completed) XII. Saint Seiya Meio Iden Dark Wing (Ongoing) XIII. Saint Seiya Gigantomachia (NOVEL) XIV. Saint Seiya Golden Age (NOVEL) XV. Saint Seiya French Comic will be coming soon Some fans get confused as to which series is Canon and which series is Spin-Off in Saint Seiya Multiverse. So I have done a lot of research, allow me to explain. Start with Saint Seiya classic after that watch Saint Seiya The Hades Chapter Sanctuary after that watch Saint Seiya The Hades Chapter Inferno and after that watch Saint Seiya The Hades Chapter Elysion after that read Saint Seiya Next Dimension after that read Saint Seiya Episode Zero after that read Saint Seiya Origin and after that read Saint Seiya Destiny because these are canon these are written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada The rest of Spin-Offs have been written and illustrated by various mangaka. Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas and Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas Gaiden are written and illustrated by Shiori Teshirogi Saint Seiya Episode G, Saint Seiya Episode G Assassin and Saint Seiya Episode G Requiem are written and illustrated by Megumu Okada Saint Seiya Saintia Shō is written and illustrated by Chimaki Kuori Saint Seiya Omega, Saint Seiya Soul of Gold and Movies are made by Toei Animation NETFLIX ORIGINAL Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya is made by Eugene Son Saint Seiya Gigantomachia is written by Tatsuya Hamasaki Saint Seiya Meio Iden Dark Wing is written and illustrated by Kenji Saito Saint Seiya Golden Age is a work created as part of the celebration of the “30th anniversary of Saint Seiya" Saint Seiya French Comic is written by Arnaud Dollen and illustrated by Jérôme Alquié, this Comic will be coming soon

Gatchaman, Heidi, future boy Conan, Gundam, etc. Those were around Canal 5 and Cable Kin. One that I don’t see here and I liked a lot was the samurai pizza cats. And of course as I became a preteen my favorites Dragon ball series and Ranma, Pokémon and such.

Everything started with Kim Jong Il. Japan stole animation teachings from him. In all seriousness. Osamu Tezuka didn't invent anime. He just made it cheap and fast enough to broadcast it on television, weekly. Anime existed even back during WW2 but they were more like theatrical releases and not practical for TV anime as we know it.

I grew up with anime during he early 1990s and around 2000. Dragon Ball, Sailor, Gundam, and Pokemon were four of the main legendary anime shows that brought anime to the U.S. and other countries during the 1980 and 1990s. When Dragon Ball Z and other shows aired on Toonami, it was amazing. I remember coming back from school and watching anime from Toonami from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. No such programs exist today. Not even Saturday morning cartoons. This was before the Naruto generation of kids came along. When Naruto first came on Toonami around 2007, that is when it died out. Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Rurouni Kenshin, Tenchi Muyo, Ronin Warriors, Gundam Wing 00, G Gundam, Cyborg 009, Outlaw Star, Yu Yu Hakusho, and so many other shows that aired back then as a kid. I still prefer 1990s anime style over today's anime. There area few good exceptions such as Fire Force, Sword Art Online, or Demon Slayer. Kids today have no idea how good the 1990s and around 2000 was for anime and cartoons in general. That as the golden era for cartoons. I am not exaggerating. All of this somewhat led to me becoming an animator myself. If my old school had sports, I would have been in track and field, and a running back. I am still run fast. But it was a poor school with no opportunities. So my next option after high school was going into animation and games. I worked at Pixar as an intern in Summer 2019. That was the most amazing experience ever for me in this life so far. San Francisco Bay Area was beautiful. I never thought I would get the chance to see it. Currently, I am working at a game company that is based in Colorado, but I am working remotely in Dallas (I hate it here). These anime shows had such a huge influence on me as a kid. Legendary days. Back when every kid watched Dragon Ball and Power Rangers. Years later in college, I came to discover girls actually watched Dragon Ball back then. But see, back in the 1990s and around 2000, little girls made fun of boys for watching those shows, yet they secretly watched it. hahah.
