Versafine Clair inks, a stencil and the gel press plate .

I could not see how this stencil would work. Thought it would just overwhelm. You have completely changed my mind and it is now on my wish list once our lockdown lifts. I love the old “book plate” look of this card it makes me crazy happy. A stained tool tells me that the tool “works” well. It shows the crafter/artist has used it often and therefore was worth having near to hand. I see stains as a mark of a good quality tool. A stain does not interfere with function. Not the same as mistreated or dirty (which does interfere with function). My few items are precious, so they are stained, but not dirty. Far too loved and hard earned to be carelessly treated. Great tutorial and great way to have backgrounds on hand. Thank you again.

Thank you so much Jo, you are without a doubt one of the most loveliest crafters I’ve ever been fortunate to watch. Your worth your weight in gold. I really really love ❤️ this card front, and I really really enjoyed watching you create this. I really believe that the one you created today, is the best, although I wouldn’t be unhappy to have either one. I really really love ❤️ that your so down to earth too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

I have stamped for about 35 years or so, never bothered me if they were stained or any other thing I use. Just shows they are well loved. I think your nails are very nice just the way they are. Very nice card.

Loved watching your video Jo. So many wonderful ideas that add something special to your already beautiful artworks. I've had some Inktense pencils sitting in the drawer for ages but have been too chicken to try them. After watching you bring your little butterflies to life, I think I'm ready to give them a go too. Can't wait to watch your other videos 😍

Thank you for this Jo. Just gorgeous. It reminds me of an old church stained glass window for some reason, don’t know why. And I do love those flowers. The example you made in the tutorial is my fave maybe because I love green. I am a bit put off by all the steps with the word stamp and stencil on the gel press then a moon mask but the end result does make up for it; not a mass production card eh? I do think of all the teachers online you have the prettiest hands. So graceful. Love and hugs from Florida where it’s always sunny.

I'm so glad I ran across this card Jo. I was wondering about using versafine clair on the gel plate and now I know. Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial ❤

Stunning, stunning creation Jo. I love your stencilled background and your butterflies. Your butterflies pop with their yellow colour and shadowing. I prefer the one you have just demoed as the red wild flowers stand out more plus you've included the green (that's my preference), but they are both beautiful. Wow, must give this a go! Thank you so much for sharing Jo as I just love watching your videos and the different techniques you share with us. xxx ❤️❤️❤️ Oh, and I wish I had your hands and nails! :-)

@JoRice3 жыл бұрын
Jacqui lovely to hear from you, you can use inks brushed through the stencil, but the gel press will give the print type of effect. As far as I know only the gel press gives this type of effect...xx

First I got to say I just love your accent! There was a zoo show that I watched that was somewhere in England I forget now. But I don't think it was in London. Anyway one of the keepers had your same accent but I can't recall where she was from. Anyways these are both so beautiful but I think I'm also partial to the one on the left. They both have depth but I think the one on the left has more and I think some of it's coming from some of the wider spaces on the stencil being more filled in with the red. Especially on the right side a little bit around that butterfly on the right. I need to get my gel plate out and play with it. I know you don't know me so I hope you won't think I'm interfering but I'm concerned when you said that the nail polish remover has begun hurting your lungs from the fumes. If this is something new if you haven't already I would definitely urge you to maybe see a doctor about it. It may be absolutely nothing, but if it's a new development it might be a good idea to have it checked out, especially with the bit of hoarseness you appear to have. I've only seen a few of your videos so far but I love your videos and the art that you make!
