Jorma is an amazing guitarist and American Beauty is a watershed album. It really doesn't get much better than this with his gracious covering of Pig Pen's jewel.

Only took 'em 4 minutes to get to the song. Excellent version though. Still have my vinyl of the first Hot Tuna album with Jorma on acoustic and Jack on bass live doing blues classics.

The record label demanded something that would sell. The previous albums leading up to Working man's dead were one long acid trip. Nice for dead heads...not so nice for their bottom line. Thus we got the 2 radio friendly albums.

Beautiful but this is not a chippy happy song .

I went to this show. It would have been really cool, but each band only played one song, and they had to set up and break down in between songs. It was really long and boring. The vast majority of the show was spent watching roadies take their time setting up gear.

Jorma is a great musician, but he can suck the life out of pretty much any song.
