Part 14: • Jose Canseco on Living...
Part 1: • Jose Canseco on Immigr...
--------
In the latest clip, Jose Canseco talked about exposing high-profile names as PED users in his book, "Juiced." He claimed he left out players' names in the original manuscript because his real anger was towards Major League Baseball. However, the publisher said it would not release the book unless names were mentioned. After exposing notable players like Mark McGwire and Jason Giambi, Canseco said he hasn't spoken to any of them since but pointed out that no one sued him as a result of his claims. He also detailed his history and reason for naming Alex Rodriguez, accusing the baseball star of sleeping with his ex-wife. To hear more, including his thoughts on A-Rod's relationship with Jennifer Lopez, view the clip above.

Funny thing is You could almost 90% of the time tell who was using steroids. Besides these guys growing into monsters when they were leaner earlier in their careers, when the MLB started cracking down on Steroid use, when these guys would come off of it, their stats and production would just fall off tremendously. Giambi I remember could hit fir power and had a pretty decent batting average. When he got caught and came off the juice, dude played like garbage. Another way you could tell was these guys would get injured like crazy and doing the simplest things like just running the bases and break a leg or putting on their cap pull a muscle. You could just tell.

Three of the best players of that generation who have never been named or accused by anyone credible: Frank Thomas, Jim Thome and Griffey Jr. The idea that you had to use, because everyone else did holds no wait. The career of these three men stands up to all the other abusers of the era: A-Rod, Pudge, Piazza, Clemens, McGuire and Bonds. Thank you for exposing the real frauds Canseco.

Being a baseball fan and Jose Canseco be one of my favorite players growing up. You could tell from year to year but not only him but other players were on something. Major League baseball new this too they're not stupid but they knew with these Mammoth home runs it would bring people to the ballpark and that would lead to more money. Once they felt like they couldn't capitalize on it anymore or became public somehow some way they had to hurry up and do damage control and people like Jose Canseco and others were punished for it. Don't get me wrong cheating is cheating and it's not cool and it's against all the rules and values of the game. And I do feel that a lot of these guys should be in the Hall of Fame even if it's with the asterisk by their name so what. Because a lot of them were great baseball players before the steroids/ped's.

I also grew up a huge Canseco fan. After the "steroid era" homeruns didnt leave the yard 15 ft off the ground where if you were sitting down the line you could hear the seams of the baseball as it cut through the air. As a dodgers fan it wasnt until they traded for Manny Ramirez that the no-doubt-about-it type of homerun was back. Then he tested dirty...but ill tell you something, that type of homerun is back again. They say they teach launch angle to players now blah blah blah...testing is usually behind the curve of the latest and greatest pharmas....

Canseco and mark Mcguire were some of my favorite 2 players as a kids growing up in the 80's and 90's! Then one day Mark mcguire became almost as large as canseco and started smacking home runs like crazy it was weird! Canseco was always bigger than him up to that point.
