Jose Mourinho and Brendan Rodgers spoke to Geoff Shreeves after the Liverpool vs Chelsea match.
In typical Mourinho fashion he talks 'clowns' and refuses to tell Geoff Shreeves the tactics that led to Chelsea's victory against the Reds. Instead, he tells Jamie Redknapp to analyse the action!
Brendan Rodgers meanwhile refused to blame Steven Gerrard after his costly slip, and says they can still win the league.

It was liverpools party to celebrate a probable title, and Chelsea were supposed to be the clowns who Liverpool fans would enjoy beating and laughing at. Mourinho obviously thought his Chelsea team were being disrespected.

Some people on here are speaking some absolute drivel. The reason Liverpool lost is because they werent good enough on the day, blaming Mourinho and his tactics is just sour grapes. He got his tactics spot on, everyone that went to Anfield this season didnt keep a clean sheet and conceded 3,4 or 5. It doesnt take a genius to work out, if you focus keeping a clean sheet you only need one or two chances in the game to get all 3 points. Its not rocket science. What did Liverpool fans expect? Mourinho to come and roll over for Suarez and Sturridge and try to have Torres and Ba outscore them hahaha. I seem to remember quite a lot these tactics under Rafa Benitez especially in europe, I'd also be very interested to see in Champions League next year of Liverpool come up against Bayern or Barca whether they would go and attack or play like Chelsea did. At the end of the day the "negative boring tactics" got 2 goals and 3 points, the "beautiful attractive all out attacking brand of genius" got 0 goals and 0 points. Lastly the "19th century football argument" is doing my head in. I'm by no means Mourinho's biggest fan, I think the media fangirl over him and its like he's got everyone under a fucking spell with all that "mourinho masterclass" bullshit.....but he called west ham 19th century because they werent interested in scoring a single goal, they just wanted a point. Chelsea always had the intention of nicking a goal, thats the difference.

9 years too late but looking back on this match it was just a defensive wall and then a mistake by gerrard , Liverpool were playing all out attack by that point so the defensive line was really high. Liverpool just weren’t good enough in front of goal and sometimes games like these come down to individual efforts

Nathan Harding its not disrespectful at all. Everyone understands the connotations within YNWA and it could well be associated with the hillsborough disaster but its generally accepted as just a liverpool motto. You guys feel the need to say it constantly even if its completely irrelevant to the Hillsborough disaster, be it over the internet or singing it every 2 minutes. You dont see United fans blurting out 'MUNICH DISASTER', its a typical liverpool motto. Liverpool fans that rage when they get bumped for saying it annoy me.

I dont understand why the british media love Mourinho so much when he plays with these negative tactics i can understand the smaller clubs like stoke or west ham playing like this but not chelsea who have a multi million pound squad he was sacked from chelsea the first time because of his negative tactics he’s hated in Italy and was sacked in Spain again because of his negative defensive tactics and the worst thing about it all is he was moaning about west ham playing 18th century football earlier in the season. They parked the bus against Athletio and played with only 2 offensive players and today it was like Liverpool were going up against 2 buses its just sad that they have to resort to just defending for their lives an overloading the box to win a game and then the pundits just sit their and say what a tactical performance by Chelsea when City and Liverpool could play the same defensive style and just hoof the ball up the pitch to their striker to hold it up but they choose to play with flair and actually make it a fun game to watch.

Mohamin cfc reserve? are you drunk since when is schurle, matic, lampard, salah and the the rest of that team apart from the centre back a reserve team they've had multiple appearnaces and starts this season apart from schwarzer every other player in that team has played a vital part in chelseas season. Also even when you do have everyone fully fit its not chelsea go and play on the front foot and play attacking football apart from arsenal who are shocking anyway what did chelsea do against city even against swansea with a man sent off chelsea were still not really attacking, imagine what rodgers would do if he was in charge of chelsea they'd win the league hands down and would easily reach the champions league final not just park the bus infront of goal against good teams

Let's get this straight.. Liverpool have gone through the season taking every other team's defence apart and their fans have been cocky as hell basically thinking they had the title wrapped up with 4 games left. We went to Anfield and didn't let them play football. We actually defended against them and they try and blame it on the way we played the game and our tactics. Face it, you were beaten and it's a shock because you thought every game would be easy and you'd do to us what you've been doing to every other team. I'm delighted with the result not just cos we won but also because Liverpool got a wake up call and the shaking they needed and deserved.

You kept the ball for about 5 minutes in total 2nd half and most of that was running in the corner. Accept it you park the bus nearly every game which is why you struggle to beat the smaller teams because they do the same. The only way you'll win the league is if you go spend 100+ mill on attacking players like Jose normally does because he can't play attacking football effectively.

Mohamin cfc You have spent over 300 million on that squad and are using injuries as an excuse LOL typical Chelsea fan. You have Salah, Schurrle, Willian, Ba and a £50 million striker please that's more then enough pace. It was Mourinho's choice to play 2 holding midfielders and Lampard who essentially played as the 3rd he went there to park the bus he got lucky with the Gerrard slip and Liverpool had to throw everything at a team that had 9 men on the edge of the box for 90% of the 2nd half. It's a pathetic way to play for a team which has spent vast amounts of money on attacking players to sit back and park the bus, but hey it worked but you drop points against smaller teams as Mourinho only has one way of playing effectively; counter attack.

Im a united fan but liverpool got beaten fair and square and with solid tactics, maybe he was hypocritical with the way his men played but at the end of the day mourinho felt there was no point in playing aggressive football and decided the counterattack game was a better option and yes, it paid off. Besides as weve seen with chelsea all season, sometimes when they go balls to the wall attacking they struggle to get the result and thats the problem with their attack at the moment and is also the reason why they cant get a result against the weaker teams because essentially, they play them at their own game.

I can't stand mourinho. Instead of trying to play football like Liverpool who play to attack while he just sticks everyone in defence and wastes time like today just to win by frustrating the team and fans. When he refused to give the ball to gerrard and Flanagan just to waste time it was the pure example why he is ruining the English game

***** Key word there being "part". And because it's not just about winning, it's about entertaining fans too. How can you enjoy watching Chelsea play (assuming you are a Chelsea fan), you don't see your team playing creative good football, just watch other teams try to do it against your 10 man wall

Still doubting he's lost his touch? He's still the special one. I'm supporting Liverpool to win the premier league, but tactically, Jose Mourinho was brilliant. Liverpool just made mistakes when they didn't need to. I'm hoping then can hang in and City lose one of their final games.

You can hate Mourinho all you want, but he wins wherever he goes. You can hate his tactics, hate his mind games, even hate him, but you can't deny the fact that he wins and the trophies speak for themselves. Once the game started, we all knew he was going to time waste, park the bus, and make Liverpool go crazy into making mistakes and that's what happened.

Why is Shreeves' voice different towards Mourinho and Rodgers? Jose was being rude to him and Shreeves spoke to him with more respect and while Rodgers was being respectful Shreeves is asking him questions like "is it difficult not to think the title is now gone?"
