As a BIG football fan during 2009-2017 I have to say that RM of 2010-2013 was by far the best RM I've ever seen. That team was much much better than the one that won 3 UCL in a row. As an Atletico fan you knew that playing against Barcelona/RM during those years it was going to be an embarrassing defeat. In fact, I think the 2012 RM deserved a lot more the UCL than in 2014 or 2016 lets say

@@enorriatbitcoin7001 but you can't argue that at least Ancelotti, even in his 1st spell, as well as Zidane surpassed Mourinho's success at the club. For RM, actually any club really, international success is more important than domestic success and Mourinho failed drastically in that regard. In fairness he didn't get the chance to further work with the team he himself had built over those 3 years, but some players were simply performing better under different management which would imply that it took Ancelotti eg to lift Mourinho's signings to the level we see them at today. Mourinho did fine at Madrid, having had reasonable success at the club as well as having made really good signings, but there's reason as to why his spell at RM gets overshadowed by the years that followed
