Joseph Dente (23 January 1838 - 24 May 1905) swedish composer, violinist and conductor.
Work: Symphony in D-minor (1887) scored for flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, horns, trumpets, trombones (only in the finale), timpani and strings.
Mov.I: Andante - Allegro, ma non troppo
Mov.II: Scherzo: Molto vivace e con brio
Mov.III: Andante
Mov.IV: Allegro vivace
Orchestra: Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra

Eine durchweg grandiose Sinfonie! Insbesondere das Finale ist atemberaubend! Schade, dass es diese Sinfonie nicht auf CD gibt...

No conocía de don Joseph Dente. Esta sinfonía es una Muy Hermosa Sinfonía, llena de vibrante y bien ligada musicalidad. Es una de esas obras que llama la atención por qué no se escucha en los medios artístico musicales y radiales. El movimiento que empieza a los 7 y medio minutos y va hasta los 11 minutos es muy bello, vivaz, alegre. De ahora en adelante será una mis sinfonías favoritas. Interesting work, but it seems the upload was sampled at 22kHz instead of 44.1kHz resulting in shrill aliasing noise at 11kHz throughout the recording.

Ma quanti musicisti svedesi!.... Alla faccia di Berwald ,che negli anni 80 era stato eletto caposcuola... con tutte le sue sinfonie su Cd. Questa sinfonia mi sembra francamente neoclassica, in stile Haydn.
