It’s sad that Mr. Shore passed away a few years ago. He had great technique and was an interesting speaker and commentator.

So sad.... Is there another person presenting these quality videos online?

@@chensun6156 No, this was Mr. Shore uploading them and this is his personal KZfaq channel. He passed away in 2021.

@@ronkalinovsky6898 I think his last video was published by some of his managers who said in the description that he passed away.

naturally, range will vary by person, but imo, a baritone should have at least a solid low G (and that's for the higher ones. baritones on the bassier end generally have a low F or E). one of the reasons we don't have the kinds of great baritones America produced throughout the 21st century is the singers performing that rep in the 21st century...aren't even baritones to begin with.

Honestly, I don't have as strong of an expectation of low notes for baritones that I do with basses (whom, imo, need at least a strong low E or low F). Also, I don't think that all baritones today are undeveloped tenors. A lot of them are baritones who have undeveloped voices.

Saying that most baritones these days are really tenors sounds, no offense, like a bit of a conspiracy theory to me that was made up by random people on the internet.

Not racy at all my good man!!! I also hear that the great Ljuba Welitsch and countless others uses the method to enhance their singing from time to time Sir. :-)))

Hm, do you consider this is a bad low note from Warren?? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b719a6RpnMqsnI0.html And what about this low D from Shalapin? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gbByjcmbmbjNl6s.html

That clip of Warren's low note is alright, but it sounded a tad disappointing for a baritone and I expect most baritones to have more resonance on that note. That low D from Shalapin is fine I guess, but not great. It sounds like strohbass to me and strohbass isn't ideal but if it's the last resort than it is what it is.
