i'm a bit late on this vid but a great one anyways!! Being a huge fan of the house I think I'll get into Journey man too since thats the one I don't have in my collection out of the ones discussed. The refinement and quality of this house is unlike any other I feel. Good to see the reactions!

Reflection man is definitely the one that I enjoy the most. Love wearing this for the office. So manly (inspite of the jasmin), gentlemanly and professionally smelling. I have smelled so many niche fragrances in my life, this is definitely one of my favorite ones for sure.

The first ever niche fragrance sample I bought from Ebay was Reflection Man. It was spring time and the sun was shining through the window and reflecting off everything in the room,and the smell of the fragrance fit with the images perfectly. How Amouage is able to create these fragrances so masterfully is just amazing! Amouage is special.

I've got this discovery set and the other one from Library Collection / I sold it because didn't like the samples/. Good ones ! Epic, Interlude, Reflection 😍😍😍 even Figment is very interesting. For me, each perfume by Amouage is a piece of art. From the Library Collection I have Opus XI, my N 1.

Jubilation man isn’t bad. I would have liked she tried Jubilation man. It’s green, fresh and nice for spring or summer. I think reflection man is my fave. I will give interlude and lyric a try, and see how they compare.

Yes, the OG Dior Eau Sauvage EDT (1966) had, IIRC, up to 3% hedione, and it was the first (at least major) fragrance to use hedione. Eau Sauvage EDT is my second favorite frag of all time. The Eau Sauvage Extreme (early 1980's), and Eau Sauvage EDP 2012/2017 are all of similar DNA to my nose and much different than the 1966 OG EDT. I don't like the later extreme/EDP's. BTW, my favorite Amouage is the underrated Bracken Man. Together with Houbigant Fougere Royale 2010 maybe the best example of a classical Fougere. Deep green and earthy. Pure art.

Dia is good for wearing for you just relaxing. Interlude is the banger you can draw power from. Journey and Reflection are spectacular daily drivers. Never tried Fate. Beach Hut is worth it for summer, though more like the edge of a jungle than beach. On short list Sunshine and Overture.

Of those two, in terms of wearability, Beach Hut. But, if you are craving for an insane smoky incense bomb, then pick Interlude. I have the magnetic caps and both of these have beastly longevity. Journey could also be a good starting off point. Not as heavy as the previous two. Still makes an impact and versatile as heck.

Amouage is tricky. Very expensive and not everything is worth the price! However, I adore their Secret Garden collection

Closed mind.. Roses are old lady. There's are so many exceptional roses apart from POAL. Lyric is so well known due to. The Rose note. Not to mention all the greats in history all had rose in the mix. 5

Very interesting Vid ! Josephine's 2 top choices are mine as well ! ( I also rock numerous floral frags . . . ) On me, Reflection Man wears a little better on dryer days of the year, but def is a year round fragrance, as is Lyric Man. My back up bottle of Lyric Man will be here shortly, as I have worn it to a lot of Weddings this year !! Please have Josephine back ! Thanks for sharing . . .

Bracken Man! One of the two best modern treatments of the classical Fougere in existence! Deep green/earthy work of art. Wearing it deep into the dry down now. Like 20 hours into the dry down and can still smell it in wafts and direct nose.

Hi, you often say sexualising scents is a marketing thing, and I agree. What about "Season"? Summer around the world is different. Summer in India is clearly not the same as the UK. Any thoughts?

Yes it's partly marketing. Most hotter places there is aircon so we can really wear what we want. If I'm on holiday or it's very sunny and I'm predominantly outside then lighter, fresher scents work better for me and I find them more refreshing to wear.

lol, as soon as she said she rated Interlude Man a 7 Chris looked a little disheartened. His mojo went out of the window. Then when she liked reflection man - Chris came back to life :) Then when she gave Interlude an 8 Chris seemed a happy boy

Well, the opening is kind if weird in Interlude Man to be fair. It was not a love at first sniff for me either. It was however a love at first wear. Loved it as soon as the drydown, that incense with the weird sweetness started kicking in. Ordered a bottle.

Jubilation XXV is my absolute favourite perfume from Amouage. I'm female but I think it's perfectly unisex. It's also so well blended and so high quality that although I normally hate anything with rose I absolutely adore this one. It's a shame it wasn't in the kit, I would have loved to hear Josephine's thoughts on it. Although, considering what she said here, I have a feeling she wouldn't like it too much...

I totally love reflection, and also beach hut is Amazing. I'm also deeply in love with jubilation XXV, but it's so complex and continuously evolving on skin, that a brief sniff wouldn't make him justice.

@@johngregorio9183 to my nose starts pretty aromatic. Dry herbaceous mint, strong and not sweet at all. A touch of vetiver makes it extra-green. As it dries some white florals (not heavy) and a good dose of myrrh create a sweet gentleman undertone. In high heat you can sense a very subtle saltiness, but it doesn't always show up! A selvatic forest near the sea with aromatic plants.

I think the fragrance industry needs to reinvent the test strips. The scent is different on the skin than on paper. It seems like it smells nicer on paper in my experience. You really have to get a sample and wear the sample for a week to see how it mixes with your body chemistry
