@Pheonix Martin you cant lift the desk because once you let go of it when it touches the ceiling it's going to fall again if there is no weight on the bed, it's easier to try to pull the bed down.

The room tetris thing is something I seriously sympathize with. I have a huge bedroom, but it's nowhere near big enough to be a sewing room, snake room, office, and a bedroom in one.

It's just the weight of the desk. As soon as I get off the bed it naturally goes up because the desk is heavier

@@MrSuryahoodaI think by rising the disk a little up as a result the bed would begin to get down and when it's down enough you can catch the bed and lay on it and so on. if there is no a handle ✋. As I think or isn't

when I was a teenager I also invented a bed that went up to the ceiling on ropes, but it was only a paper concept to make more space on the floor for lego. I never actually built it. Your inventions have the youthful fun-ness plus an actual implimentation - brilliant.
