for all yall who make music at home lie me, please resd this and make this realization far before i did. in a profess studio 90% of that quality is a quality recording (mic, sound isolation, preamps), You are gonna have to work A LOT harder than this to get a solid sound out of your bedroom recordings, its all trial and figuring out what works for you, this will not serve as a “template” that will give you the same sound

It is a lot harder in a home studio but it depends on the engineer too, if you know how to mix and master your own music then it doesn’t matter if you record on a pro studio or your bedroom, as long as you have some good equipment (nothing crazy) you are able to make good art, a lot of hits nowadays are recorded in home studios or apartments lol

He cuts all the high frequencies of the vocals with the low pass filter of the SSL G (10KHZ), Somebody can confirm this ? Sow how is the vocals so bright ??

by shelving the low frequency 6db+ instead of cutting them, this will make things sound brighter but also retain the lows since your not cutting them. try it out see how it works

@@subliminal4338 another thing I forgot to mention is that the ssl low pass filter has a very gentle slope so even if you cut all the way to 10k and its not cutting everything 100 percent, that's why there are still some highs

@@subliminal4338 If you are talking about 15:00 and SSL 9000J He is working on the duplicate all wet Raum reverb Lead track. So he is filtering the high frequencies of the Raum Reverb, not the dry lead track.

Put effects like reverb or delay on an audio track and sat the input of the aux track to a bus and then on the vocal track make sure you have your sends window visible and then select the corresponding bus as the send on the vocal track. This pulls up that faded that controls the amount of the effected signal you want to use
