Queens of the Stone Age is an American hard rock band from Palm Desert, California, United States, formed in 1997. Since its inception, the band's line-up has included founding member Josh Homme (lead vocals, guitar), with its current line-up including longtime members Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar, lap steel, backing vocals) and Joey Castillo (drums, percussion), alongside Michael Shuman (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Dean Fertita (keyboards, guitar).

josh isnt just a unique musician he also has a unique way of expressing himself verbally. hes a great interview in that his metaphors are so strait to the point and funny that i believe he could convince anyone of anything

More interviewers should be like this guy. Some either seem to nervous being in the presence of a famous celebrity, or are too pretentious and self-involved. Either way, they forget that the people they are talking to are just regular guys. And this guy treats them like two dudes, and I love that about this interview.

This interview made me just like Josh Homme even more.. I can relate to his story, and it IS like sharing a meal you're not satisfied with with others, "This tasted like shit. Taste it." But yeah, it puts a lot in life in perspective - I don't sweat the trivial stuff.

He doesn't say how or why he was in hospital, only that he needed surgery. He was chocking to death as they couldn't get the breathing tube down throat.

He was on a photo shoot and during the shoot he was injured.

The guy has had repeated surgery on the same knee for years is what I've heard. He's been talking about it since Lullabies where there were bad shows or cancelled bc of the knee. Its just crazy you could die from fucking leg surgery...
