@@shalashaska9946 back THEN? I'd say it's a lot easier to offend a person today. To the point though, the problem with the phrase was that Josh, White House representative, said on live television that GOD IS A TAX FRAUD in the country with the most "people who believe angels are real" in the world (that's a quote from another show, but also written by Sorkin). Including their own president, by the way, who is a VERY religious person. This line is too easy to understand as an attack on God, not attack on a church or even a sect.

Zephyr642 churches in America don’t pay taxes, so technically any congregation of at least 50 people can apply for tax exemption under the first amendment. This gives way for any quack Christian group to gain political points if they’re rich and popular enough, which is why the religious folk were being “courted” by the White House. Except Jed Bartlett isn’t Protestant, he’s Catholic so in all probability he detests the American Christian Right advocacy groups as much as Josh. But that last point was just my take on it.

NOBODY can flip out like Josh! Two occasions: When Josh was suffering from PTSD after his shooting. "PLEASE LISTEN TO ME" and when Otto took his phone during the Santos Transition. "ITS GRIIIIIND IT OUT TIME". His voice does this scream thing that just kills me!

+hanscombe72 true but for the PTSD (something that I suffer from after waking up to a house fire so I understand it a ton) you feel for him..every word he says...the way he says it...the guy that cant be beat...is beaten. BUT......when he yells at Otto...you kinda hate him...ok maybe not hate but he really was being simply..an ass. But I do agree with what your saying ;)

Thank god for Sam being in the room at that point with the phone. He saw the signs and slapped Josh down hard and probably stopping him from a breakdown. Josh wouldn't have taken that from anyone else bar Leo.
