Wow, he is so different from the character in God's Own Country; that is where a real good actor can be recognized IMHO (had you told me that he was closer, in his mannerisms, to the movie's Johnny, I would've believed it without a doubt). Hope to see more of this guy.

Gods Own Country is brilliantly acted and written and developed. The Yorkshire farmer and the Romanian migrant emotional connection requires an instinctive and intuitive understanding of the dynamic and commitment necessary to form a relationship. Language and borders are incidental for a relationship.Congratulations to everyone involved. Highly recommended - universal appeal. One of the best movies of recent years.

The film was Brokeback mountain 2.0 albeit with a much happier ending. So it doesn't score high in originality. But it was saved by the acting which I agree was just phenomenal. O'connor deserves the award a 100%. And Alec Seceranu was just so hot......BTW, was it Anna from Downtown Abbey that did the presenting?
