My oldest Son grabbed me in the kitchen to dance. We two stepped around the kitchen. He said "dang Mother, we still got it" and I laughed. 2 weeks later my healthy 32 year old child, went to sleep and never woke up. Please dance every moment you can. I hold onto that beautiful memory until we can dance again.

Dear Josh, I apologize that when 27 year old me heard this song I wrote you off as being 'pop-country' or 'not-real-country'. I was at that time stubbornly stuck to a diet of Hank, Merle and Waylon and other outlaw artists that I didn't allow myself to listen to any of your other music. The more I listen to this song, the more meaning comes to me. This is a literal metaphor on life and love. Why do we sit at home (or anywhere) overcome by thoughts of evil doings (bad news), when we could be literally loving music and life and love and expressing it in dance, (together or alone)? We could kick off our shoes and let the rhythms take over, move in whatever way feels right. It doesn't matter if you are tone deaf or you have two left feet or can't 'dance'... anyone can move to music and why should we feel that it is socially unnaceptable to move in any way that feels good? You don't need 'professional' dance moves to love music. I can't dance or even keep rhythm all the time, I have physical restrictions, but even I can move to music in a comfortable way, that expresses my joy in music and life and myself. This song makes me want to dance and makes me feel happy and good. That's what music should do! Why can't we just dance? Way to go, Josh! That's real achievement man!

The more I listen to Josh Turner the more I like his style and that deepish voice, that's a man's voice. The bad part of this, even though youtube is convenient and I'm probably old, but I missed the country music videos as they were around 2008-2011... That was a good period for country music. You could just turn on the tube and do whatever on the weekends.

Thank you so much for making this song, my mom and I would get so excited every time it came on the radio in the car. I'm 20 years old and my mom recently passed away. This song makes me remember so many good times I had with her, and it makes me cry when nothing else would let me. This song means so much to me and it made my mom's day every time it would play. Thank you so much for just making this song

Once I heard this guys voice, I was sold! It reminded of my younger years, growing up, when my mom & dad would cut a rug on the living room floor when they were feeling randy on any given evening! Fun to watch for us as a family!

I meet my wife of 50 years at a dance in 1972, and until she started to have heath issues in late 90's we went dancing pretty much weekly. This song and video strikes home. Now instead of dancing, I lead a band so others can dance

Everytime I hear this song it takes me back to the early morning of January 26 2011. My sister and I were laying in bed with our mother between us, we had just told her it was okay to go home and be with her parents. We would take care each other.. This song came on the radio, we started singing it to her, she loved to dance.. by the time it was over, she had joined parents..

Me and my Granny used to listen to this song befor she passed away and this has been my favorite song ever since I always replay it and every summer I would go into the kitchen while my mom was cutting a watermelon and me and my siblings and her would be dancing and singing all through the house 😊😇
