It's hilarious how fans freak out about this stuff. It was a job, that's it. I heard an interview from an actress that was on a show I really liked, with a cult following. She has never seen a single episode, and doesn't remember much about it. She's friends with castmates, but the show was just a job for her. It's the fans that read into it.

If she has such a poor memory of what should be a significant piece of work - when I can remember everything I've said for some 30+ years then she needs to evaluate her aging plans. She may already have dementia, or just be too ashamed to comment.
@BadBigBody5 ай бұрын
You remember everything you’ve said for 30 years? Yeah, I buy that
@ErraticFaith5 ай бұрын
@@BadBigBody For a western it might sound extreme. Now picture that I am Asian. That my Father worked in an industry where recall of information was his job and that I grew up having to write things from sequences. And finally that compared to some our schedules are extremely heavy and competitive. So we don’t make much talk and aim to use whatever talk we do make to progress our academia and work. It’s not as much of a stretch as you think. I don’t expect her to have quite that ability. She’s a western and that’s a very different culture. However singers and actors I’ve known don’t forget things like this. Because certain moments where you’ve been with someone and said something resonate with you a lot. Compared to Hayden. Who remembers almost every line of hers. She remembers none? Either she’s ashamed of Star Wars as some rumour. Or she’s simply got a very poor memory. If I did a scene like this at that age. I wouldn’t forget what I said. Especially when she seems to see it as cringey. But you’re welcome to your opinion there in the west? So that was just mine.
@dougsmith46025 ай бұрын
We here in the west think your comment is ridiculous. Actors in jobs like these often have dialogue being changed the day of. They do what they need to do on that particular set and then they move on. I’m a musician and have been since I was about 10. I certainly couldn’t recall every motif or measure I’ve ever played because I haven’t touched that material in years.
@ErraticFaith5 ай бұрын
Then we are alike in that fashion. We care very little for each others opinions and ignorance. It’s your habit to seek justification for personal experience. When you know full well our standards are collective. That’s seemingly why you loathe communism. We aren’t here however to get into an endless retread of world view I assume. We all have our experiences. Perhaps you do struggle with recall. Much like many people here I do not. If my memory concerns you you’re more than welcome to come to China and put it to the test. We enjoy memory games and challenging ourselves. So forgive me if your deteriorating culture is seen as little more than a joke.

I 100% disagree Natalie may not have won an award for Star Wars but it's the movie series that took her from a child star to a movie star. Physical actors spend way more time on each role they do than voice actors and I don't think that's a fair comparison at all. Most voice actors literally do all their work from home. Physical actors need to fly to location, memorize lines, get into hair and makeup, and rehearse like crazy.

Actors who work as much as she does can’t be expected to remember certain lines that they did a long time ago. Unless there was something going on in their personal life at the time that they can connect it with. They have to relearn new lines all the time. And if they are learning lines for multiple films at the same time, that can be especially difficult. Even great actors have trouble with remembering their lines, and take several takes to get them right. It’s only natural that some of the old lines that haven’t been used in years end up in the memory’s rubbish bin.
