A few missions went into this episode, some made the cut, others didnt. A lot of ground covered and some early starts and late finishes. Its been a busy few weeks for sure, traveling here and traveling there, walking up hills and over ridges, trying to find a roaring stag. I reckon we have another week left before they shut up shop. Sorry Josh... Can't even afford beer for myself little lone you or the off sider ....haha been there and do that! editing and filming. Now AdSense has stopped me! makes it harder to carry on or not. Just doing footage for an e-bike I have had for 9 months and 4300 + kms later, keep an eye out you might need one one day or your missus.

Great video mate. Man in the thick of summer them beech trees are like a feeding frenzy for them wasps. The issue being you guys are just walking through minding your own business and what they're still attacking you? Must be brushing up on nests, would be nests everywhere.

Awesome video as always. Just a quick one you shot that stag just for the back straps? What about the rest of the meat? Isn't it a waste?

I can't remember if we took the back legs or not. Sometimes we do just take the backsteaks , in the rut the stag meat Is tainted and needs a strong marinade to make it palatable. How much meat we take depends on a variety of factors. How much weight we already have, how our bodies are doing healthwise, how far away from transport we are, what type of animal we are targeting and what time of year. If you have ever been hunting and covered many miles over several days sleeping rough and pushing yourself. You will understand that it's not always a good idea to load up on weight for the rest of the journey... Cheers

I'm not a hunter. You said thermal vision are banned/illegal on DOC land. Common sense would say they should be mandatory if it's that easy to see ' that's a person' or 'that's a target speices'

So that stag meat would be inedible right ? it would be the foulest smelling strongest tatesing crap ever or do you like that stuff i never did the old timers down the coast liked it i would give it to them too strong for liking my old lady wouldn't let me cook it in the house get that foul smelling crap out of here it skinks place out she would say .Most of the deer we would shoot down there were like that .
