I think this decade has been the most important for Who. The Youngest Doctor, the Oldest, and the first female Doctor have proven the show isn't afraid to try new things even after 50 years. And over 50 years now! And that's not even bringing in how Big Finish is now 20 years old and DWM is 40. Animations aplenty and the show finally finding it's footing in video games. Looking forward to the 20's for sure.

i didn't include everything that happened, because this video would literally be ten years long haha the point of this video is really highlighting that no matter what the show does, people won't like it. Controversy and complaints have been happening since day one, even to your favourite writers/actors/episodes. Who cares what others think? Everyones opinion SUCKS (including mine) Enjoy what YOU like, make your own opinions!

+Osian Coleman I had the opposite reaction. When it was Eleven's turn, it was a very jarring experience for me. New Doctor, new writers, new 'atmosphere'. My love and adoration for Ten prevented me from immediately accepting Eleven for a very long time, but he did win me over eventually. (While still keeping Ten on a pedestal) When Twelve took the reins, I know my initial impression of him was positive. I felt that he brought back the gravitas that 'I thought' Eleven was lacking. But I only got as far as Series 9 when I felt that I needed to abandon the show. I had lost the person who got me into the show and was the only one I felt that I could talk to about the show. 5 years on, I started rewatching all of NewWho on 'Fish Fingers and Custard Day' and I just completed Series 10 only a few days ago. I feel like the distance has given me time to think and better understand my own feelings. Rewatching Eleven's adventures has helped me understand why he is so beloved and I definitely got more teary-eyed during his run more times than I can count. As for Twelve? Let's just say, I don't think any other of the Doctor's departures has broken me like Twelve's did. And after 14 years of keeping Ten on a pedestal, I think Twelve has earned his place as my favorite Doctor.

I mean only, if you count decades like 20s, 30s etc. The actual decade - if we count it properly, actually ended on 2010, which made a good summary of the Tennat's run. Decade passed - and so did Doctor (cause you should count years and decades like you count centuries or millenias - they pass only after the time passes and year ends. 2000 was still 20 century. If we would count it differently - newborns would be one years old from the start and the first decade of modern era would start at year -1).

@Asa Fisher also known as The Troughton rule, Davison followed it AND it was used against Colin Baker upon his sacking from the Role. Capaldi and Smith also did three series so yes there is a precedent for it, although some think Capaldi was pushed rather than stepped down....

@Jacob Wood I don't know, RTDs four seasons were really good. It's hard to argue against the early Baker run but I certainly wouldn't say the RTD era doesn't come close. It does have some of the best episodes, best world building and honestly, superior character development to the Baker era. I will always love the Baker era and Sarah Jane, Harry and Leela are all fantastic yet it's had to say their characters developed much. Personally, I would say it's a toss up. They're both excellent for differing reasons.

My partner and I took our children to see 'Power of the Daleks' at the cinema. They got a bit bored, despite being huge Whovians, but I enjoyed it. (My partner complained about the quality of the animation.) I also won tickets to see 'Shada' at the cinema, I couldn't work it into my schedule, since the nearest cinema it was showing at was a two and half hour drive away. Thank goodness for DVDs! I think the reasons given for not having a Christmas special are valid enough. I mean, we've had so many that there isn't much left to do in the way of Christmas themes. Just a New Year's Special is fine for me. I am looking forward to the animations the most. I love them. I hope all the missing episodes will be animated in time.

I imagined it being like Dalek Attack but brought bang up to date (and since I only owned the crappy Sinclair Spectrum version of Dalek Attack, this was something that I needed). Sadly it never happened and every Dr Who game theres ever been since has looked like they were made for the previous console. I just wish we could get a high calibre game.

I love this! I became a fan in Feb 2012 when a friend of mine showed me 'An Unearthly Child' and I instantly fell in love with this amazing series. despite having a rocky relationship with the series after Capaldi announced he was leaving (as Capaldi is "My Doctor") I stayed with it an really enjoyed Chibnall's "Packed TARDIS" and how he mimicked Season 1 of Classic Who, even down to thematic story structures. I'm glad to be able to look back at the past 8 years of my life and say "Doctor Who has taught me how to be a better person", which considering I started watching the show when I was 12 could be seen as either a positive or really pathetic but who cares.

I don't think it's the "tradition" of it being broadcast kn a certain day that people were on about...it was more that it was the most important scheduling day of the year. The day that even non-fans would gather round and watch something they'd never seen before. Who watches TV as a group on new year's day?

Why’d you do this to me Josh? That after party... spine chilling. That footage of Ian Levine was perfectly used. Also the shade thrown towards Bowlestrek, perfection. But no mention of the K9 movie?

Hi Josh, just wanted you to know, I am the person who created the graphic that was used to complain about Capaldi's Sonic Sunglasses in that tweet. It was used WITHOUT my permission or knowledge (I had no idea until now that anyone had taken it) and it was obviously created before the War Doctor episode aired (you can see on the right-hand bottom side that it is from 2013). I just want you to know I don't support the views of this tweet--I liked the sonic sunglasses. Thanks!

2010: Doctor Who has anti ginger agenda. 2020: Doctor Who has an anti white man agenda. For a series all about change, it hardly does change.

If I had done this, I would've counted Shada as 6 episodes and I would've counted Mission to the Unknown, but to each his own.
@JoshSnares

Shada is one feature length production, as stated in the videos, and by the creators of the production. They had no intention for it to be 6 parts anymore. Feel free to interpret it however you like, but that is the official number :)

@@JoshSnares I mean, It's 6 parts on the DVD. While I don't doubt what you say: 1. To each his own, I would still personally count it as 6. 2. I can't find where it was said that It's intended as one movie and not 6 episodes.
@JoshSnares

hate to be that bitch, but check your DVD again, it's only presented as a feature length. The memory cheats haha Charles Norton goes into detail into why it's a feature not episodic here: gallifreybase.com/gb/threads/shada-animation-part-3.254017/page-3#post-11699257 "No it wasn't our brief. You might have wanted it to be, but that wasn't what we were trying to do at all... by the time 'Shada' finally reached post-production in 2017, that director was me and it was my final cut that you got... it's final finished form is as a 137 minute feature length drama."
