My favorite shot is every time Kasakis breaks just to hear Earl say "Kasakis is breaking and going to hit'em just enough with his speed" in a condescending way. Can't get enough of Earl I've watched every match from the beginning to the end.48:58, 55:19, 1:12:52

@@jacobjones6763 I agree JJ is awesome but what I really don't like about when he commentates is that he is always with someone else and they either argue or seemingly try to best each other. Earl, being alone, is fabulous. IMO

I like it that Earl tells us so many options to play a shot each time. It shows that there is most of the time not just one way to play a shot. The more way's you can play a shot the better player you are. If you feel more comfortable with playing as shot a certain way that means you need to play the other ways more often. Else you tend to become player with limitations. The fact that Earl knows so many ways to play a shot, shows how versatile he is and how deeply he understands the game and its possibilities. You amateurs out there and seasoned players can learn a lot from this.

Sharing the stage with another knowledgeable person, I don’t know how complementary & courteous Earl would be. I’d like to see Jeremy Jones & Jim Rempe do the Mosconi Cup. But if you were to pair Earl The Pearl with someone, I’d like that someone to be Captain Hook The Mouth Mike Segal.

o hello max, do you know what earl means when he mentions ‘placement pool?’ at 48:00 50:00 55:55

I've really enjoyed listening to Earl. I listen to many announcers for pool, but Earl seems to see all the possibilities giving, all us hacks, some insight.

Earl hasn't been my favorite player but he's my absolute favorite commentator! At last someone makes proper technical remarks instead of the usual useless info about the players.

Tell Earl every ball made on the break counts the same as 3 balls crossing the head string. Three of any combination constitutes a legal break. Earl is fun to listen too!

Another good job by Earl. Earl talks a lot about spin on the cue ball; could he talk about deflection or squirt...these guys know how to handle it but hoping Earl has some tips on that for us amateurs. Thanks, Earl, and keep up the good work.

Great editing between racks also....I liked the ghost fade effect better than this, but either save me from fast forwarding and missing Earl’s tips. Such good work from the billiard network!

Thanks, on second look we might use the fade transition again. We used this one as it clearly shows the passing of time and the more subtle fade had some viewers thinking we’ve edited parts of the audio commentary.

How does Billiard Channel make money? I really enjoy watching with Earl as commentator. Editing out the time between racks makes the game more exciting. I would pay for this. $50. a year would be cheap.

I agree with Earl tho it would be very interesting to see how the game would evolve with all the young guns and take that jumper from them.

The jump stick is one of the most contentious issues in pool and deserves a wider debate.
@vincentgolden5352
@vincentgolden5352 4 жыл бұрын
Look at Efren he can get around the table and Earl as well is another among many of the great playersthat can maneuverthe table very well. I think the young guns as this guy put it can do the same they just have a get out of jail free card with the jump cue. I think that it defeats the whole idea of a safety shot unless you park the cue within a cluster of balls married to one or more which seldom happens. The best saftey can now be undone by a jump cue which defeats the whole idea and purpose of it nowa days it isnt a safety shot its called lets make this shot tougher but not impossible because we have the jump cue.
