This was simply amazing. Josh Homme/QOTSA are in my opinion still criminally underrated. QOTSA is by far one of the greatest bands of the last century.

Simen Almaas and definitely one of the most versatile... They've seamlessly gone from album to album, from one iteration (in terms of members) to the other, and yet they always sound distinctive enough... And that's without even mentioning how great their music is yet...

Peter Griffin they are not getting scarcer, the new ones are just less popular

I don't believe they are underrated. It's just that mass entertainment patterns are measured with a very low base rule. QOTSA is definitely one of the best bands of our times.

I saw them live for the first time ever in Manchester this month and it was really interesting to see such a mixture of people there, some sitting quietly listening, others,.me included, dancing and singing all night but I was moved to tears when they performed this. The place became still and thousands of like minded humans came together singing this lament. It was beautiful

I miss you now, what's come over me? We're hostages of geography The wait is long, and heavy too Despite what you're accustomed to I know that life moves on, that's what scares me so Have no intentions of letting go Only us, no one in the world Only us, no one in the world I better do something, move earth and sky And patiently, sweetly, with all of my mind I sing only for you To the beat of my footsteps in the night Close your eyes and dream me home Forever mine, I'll be forever yours Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore There's no magic bullet, no cure for pain What's done is done, 'til you do it again Life in pursuit of a nameless prey I've been so close, I'm so far away It's so hard to explain, so easy to feel I need you now, nothing is real Save me from the villains of circumstance Before I lose my place Close your eyes and dream me home Forever mine, I'll be forever yours I'll be forever yours I'll be forever yours Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore

I love this version so much. It's very raw and stripped back. He looks like he's not best happy with it or self-conscious at moments in the performance - I don't know why. I couldn't take my eyes off him - he is mesmerising and he acted both arrogant and vulnerable. I play this more than anything else because it's wonderful. The amazing Joshua Homme - sexy beast and amazing singer/musician/songwriter etc.
